Are the club offices still at AP? Doesn’t make sense for people to be spread out over three sites does it?
Taking off my tinfoil hat, i’d say it’s obvious Harlington hasn’t worked out, and it’s a pain to have the first team and the academy so far apart. Moving the whole operation to Farnham seems to solve those problems.

Didn’t they say they had a lease on Marlow Road for 5-6 years still? So over that time (especially if their plans include promotion) it’ll be money well spent.

I think the retrospective planning permission they applied for at Marlow Road said it was a temporary structure for five years.

Tbf, even if they magicked up planning permission tomorrow, building work wouldn’t be completed for a good few years.
Seeing as plans aren’t coming out anytime soon, neither will planning permission so I would be shocked to see an academy completed on site before 2030.
Therefore, it makes perfect sense (when the owner is worth billions) to spunk millions on marlow road in the mean time. The cost of upgrading Marlow road is going to pale into insignificance compared to whatever they have planned for North Slough.

Lets just remember, all of the work done at the training was done in temporary buildings and it won’t take too much to pack it all up and move it to somewhere else.
