“…there haven’t been many fallouts” is an interesting comment, if correctly reported. In fact, following a reread, that whole paragraph (comment by MD), if accurately reported, is rather oddly worded.
Football managers (& head coaches) and players are generally recruited on the basis of their football ability/knowledge rather than because they are eloquent.
I’m generally quite surprised when I can understand the majority of any interview I watch or see reported.
It all went downhill after Scotty’s on pitch saying something about “early doors”, when we first won the Trophy. To me it should be “early days” but I know that shows my age.
Doesn’t early doors come from British theatres and pubs?
It was a big Ron gaffe that got picked up by Soccer AM then it became part of the vernacular. It is used unironically these days it seems.
