It’s not quite like the ones we are used to. It starts with someone (I guess their Phil Catchpole?) picking him up from the airport, then shows him having his medical, being introduced to his teammates, and signing his contract.
It’s all in Norwegian or Danish, except for ten seconds in English which reveals he’s signed a four year deal.
I went there once when I was about 15 (a very long time ago)
The ground is on the coast near the docks and it got so foggy by half time that we couldn’t see anything that was happening up the other end. Just had to listen for crowd reaction. The locals said it was a common occurrence. Bloody cold too.
Bartolo with a 91st minute equaliser as Totton scored two injury time goals to beat Chesham today. 2nd goal for Totton, who are now 9 points off the playoffs with a game in hand on some of the teams above them. Unlikely but not outside the realm of possibility for them to make a late charge.
Talking of Totton, Scott Rendell was tonight appointed interim manager after there previous boss (World cup winner Alan Ball’s son) left to join Torquay.
Was watching this episode of Stick To Football in which Roy Keane talks about his early life in football. He was asked about players he played with in Ireland and if any of them succeeded with a career in England. Keane mentioned Paul McCarthy (RIP) playing for Wycombe. What a player. Won’t ever forgot going to Selhurst Park (full of the flu) to witness that crazy crazy game, FA Cup replay against the Dons. Just one that Macca starred in. Never forgotten.
Well at least the sell on fee to them helped us after the Bristol City (ex Wycombe / Palace) bloke turned us over knowing what the release figure in his contract was. Truth is he wouldn’t be an international if he was still playing in League One.
I won’t get a chance to listen to that for a bit, but there’s a photo of a young Roy Keane in the same youth team as Macca that does the rounds on social media every so often, I never miss the opportunity to show Paul’s fondly remembered.
Bruno Andrade and teammate Tyler Winters sacked by AFC Rushden & Diamonds after they had a disagreement and were sent off in the 20th minute, in the 3-0 defeat at Loughborough Students.
