Former WWFC Footballers

Didn’t play last week.

I hope we have a sell on. They are quoting £7M which even with a 10% sell on would be £400k

I thought we had a 22% sell-on clause?

Yeah I thought it was heavily rumoured to be the 20-25% bracket. Unsure if it was on the profit or the full whack fee.

It is usually on the difference between signing fee and sold price , if he did go for 7 mill could be looking at another million which would balance the books a little .

This is the sort of deal I think we sold him for.

I’m not aware of the percentage but it’s normally 10-15%

Kone missed a hat full of easy chances today, let the conspiracy theories commence with the QPR fans (especially my brother )

Mehmeti left out of Ipswich’s first PL squad, sadly. I was hoping he would find a way to get some PL minutes, but there is the potential danger of a loan back to the Champo, one would think.

Only 20 minutes but looked good.

His run from.the halfway line to getting a freekick on the edge of the box was an encouraging site.

I had a twitter chat with a Dundee fan, reckons they play 2 up top, and wide players. It Could suit Bradders. If not goals, he could be causing a nuisance.

Anthony Stewart is only 33 and up until 2022 was absolutely superb. Can any wise heads tell me how a player like that ends up at Bedford Town?

First goal in Serbia for Tjay - pretty decent finish too

I think we underestimate how easy it is to fall out of the professional game. All it takes is a bad injury or bad form at the wrong time, or a manager that doesn’t fancy you, or a fanbase looking for a scapegoat. I think he experienced at least three of those at Aberdeen.

I can’t believe he’s still only 33.

Sullay Kaikai with an assist for Cambridge today.

Sometimes the body doesn’t have the longevity either. Wayne Rooney at his peak was up there with Ronaldo and Messi (his partnership with Ronaldo and Tevez/Berbatov was unstoppable) but you could see as he entered his 30s that it was getting harder and harder for him to maintain fitness in the same way Ronaldo could. He always had that somewhat stocky build which made him more prone to weight gain once his metabolism slowed.

Kaikai lives in Maidenhead on the roundabout in Maidenhead at Kidwells Park.

Wow. You’d think Cambridge would pay him enough to live in a house.

Sad for Anthony Stewart, but it always makes me smile that he still basically has an ownership stake in Oxford United after that titanic playoff final performance.
