Friends Reunited: Woodrow & Grimmer

Cauley and Jack talk about their early days together at Fulham, with some footage. Looks like it’s filmed at Marlow Road by Fulham.

What an excellent interview. I’ve said it many times before but what a great guy Jack is - so personable and articulate - and I’ve quite taken to Cauley Woodrow now and forgiven him for that lapse of taste at the terrace end when Barnsley scored against us a few years ago.

Jack’s much improved performances recently have been a big plus at a time when even I had begun to doubt whether he could justify retaining his place.

Tomorrow evening should be a great occasion with the nearest thing to a full house that we’ve experienced for some time.

I just hope we get one of the better commentators on Sky and that mrs micra will indulge me for at least some of the game.

All the “isn’t Dan Rice brilliant” stuff made a little bit of sick come up.

Did make me laugh that the people who know DR best and work with him every day are very positive about him, yet the people who have never met him want him out.

Yes it shocks me that people are invariably polite publicly about the people in charge of them at work who have the capability (and track record) to dismiss them on a whim.

I think that’s quite a naive position. I’m not sure in any job that anyone is going to publically put on record their disdain for their manager or the person overall in charge of the business.

Especially as if you did it is likely to lead to you being “moved on”

It’s probably one of the only things I can think of that most people regularly lie about in public and say the complete opposite in private to trusted friends.

I found the interview a bit long to be honest. I hit the 10 seconds forward button a couple of times when the exchanges became a bit flat and although I heard Rice mentioned I must have fortuitously missed anything too cringeworthy.

Well they didn’t have to say anything at all. I mean. Being the club captain and openly lie wouldn’t look good.

For the record. I’m neither for or against Rice. I just found it very interesting coming from Jack

Then again, I don’t have blinkers on like some people on here who I assume are FB regulars. :man_facepalming:

What, just stayed silent when asked a question directly about him?

Dan Rice’s record with the first team, transfers, managerial changes and his data led decisions are plain to see. They have been a disaster for this club, especially when you consider the amount of money spent.

In his favour he seems to have made a great decision employing Duff.

I don’t need to know Dan Rice to see the above or need to know Dodds personally to realise he was not capable of leading the team.

I still don’t believe Dan Rice is capable of running this club successfully, I would be delighted if he proved me wrong though.

So for me it would still be Dan Rice out.

Are you ITK? Guess you cant disclose what position you hold in the club?

So just to be clear, his managerial changes have been a “disaster” but replacing Dodds with Duff was a “great decision”?
