I Know there quite a few non league lovers on here. Just wandered into this game and there’s at least 100 supporters here. Played at Brighouse Town FC which is a big deal at this level

The Cock and Bottle were 3 2 down at HT but rinsed it in the second half. Wonderful scenes right now as friends and girlfriends celebrate on the pitch

The losing team were ‘Halifax United’ who brought a very impressive following
I don’t know if it’s still the case but AP used to host all manner of local cup finals? I remember a school friend of mine playing for Kings Church in a church cup final. And Pete Couhig, formerly of this parish, played on the hallowed turf for Lane End in some kind of Wycombe District cup final? Must’ve been a half decent turnout that night!
I played and lost a semi final for Stokenchurch Middle School where the prize was a final at AP. We got to to the final the next year but the venue was Stokenchurch 
The Wycombe Combination cup used to take place on a bank holiday Monday at Loakes Park.
It was quite prestigious then, and used to get healthy crowds. I went a number of times.
One of the times i didnt go, turned out to be quite a volatile affair, involving Wycombe Carribean. It must of been early 80’s, i remember Carribean wearing bright Orange shirts, with black trim, reminiscent of the Coventry kit at the time.

Does the Church League still do a prayer before the game starts?
I believe they have moved this to Thame’s ground now. It’s still a lovely event when I refereed it over 10 yrs ago
