This is a welcome addition to the Gasroom. As a West Yorkshire resident I can say there are a wealth of great pubs in hudds

Probably not many not coming by train midweek but the station pub is a treasure.

Which would you recommend if driving there?

I would not recommend driving into Huddersfield town centre. It’s a maze of traps. Look at parking east of the town centre and walking

I once spent 30 mins driving around Huddersfield town centre and nearly commited suicide. Wouldn’t risk the multi storeys as they close and charge you.

Sorry for no positive advice…you can park for free north or east of the stadium if you are happy for a stroll in this glorious spring sunshine.

If you like defunct grounds as I do…look up Leeds Road. Park in a street round there. Wallow in history..not far from the McAlpine
