The two games in two days and 280 mile journey in between being the highlight. They must have left in the bus after the home game finished and got to Gateshead around 11pm.

We played 5 Gola league games in 9 games conceding 17 goals, and gaining only a point in that disastrous run in towards the end of the 85/86 season. Then a 2 day gap saw us gain a point in our last game, relegated the next day, and lose in the B&B final the following day. Not the greatest weekend to be following the Wanderers.
