Not the result Wycombe Wanderers wanted in E10 this afternoon, but a nice opportunity for my eldest son, Alfie, who shadowed Ethan and Jayden, covering the match for Wycombe Sound.
The lads, along with BBC Three Counties commentator Sam Avery, offered Alfie useful advice and pointers throughout the afternoon.
Alfie recently spoke to me about doing co-commentary. I’m pleased to report that he will be describing the action alongside Wycombe Sound’s Charlie Goff when the Chairboys take on Port Vale at Adams Park next Saturday.
Alfie struggles with Autisum, and this is a sizeable step outside his comfort zone, but he is confident. At the same time, Sam and I will be covering the game for BBC3CR. It’ll be a great family moment, and certainly a proud moment for Alfie, Victoria, Mia and me.
