Really sorry to hear this. Such a memorable figure from the time I started supporting the club.

Always thought he was an extremely good groundman too - the Adams park pitch was one of the best I remember seeing compared do our contemporaries in early league days.

Condolences to family and friends.

Jim won several Groundsman of the Year Awards, a master of the craft. and also had to fit in kit duties and Adams Park maintenance as well. He always had time for a chat, had a great sense of humour and was a true gent. RIP Jim, we will miss you.

Jim was a master of his craft and will be fondly remembered by many at the club. Rest in peace and may the grass be greener on the other side.

RIP Jim, never actually knew you but the grass at AP in the early years was a thing of beauty.

Really sad to read this. Such a nice bloke, and a true club legend. RIP Jim.

Produced one of the best pitches in the country during his time. Condolences to his family
