That game should have been an all timer on the low points, along with the Huddersfield 6-0s and suchlike. But because it got us free of Smith it was actually a brilliant outcome for us.

Does Phil need to thank the fans? Dear god, he did it every week. And he is one.
Blooms also had warm words for us too. Unsurprisingly given the nature of his departure, a WTV exclusive was not likely to be on the cards.

What does he need to thank Wycombe fans for? He was an employee of the non-playing staff. He’s now the same for another club. But HE IS a Wanderer. And I’m sure it’s in his blood. And I’m pretty sure his heart is thinking of Wycombe every Reading game, but the man is a pro and his head will be laser focussed on Reading including in a couple of weeks when we play those muppets.

That’s a bit off. We brought Richard in for the first time during summer 2021 after a tip from a player’s agent who had also found success through our Dev squad. Scott didn’t join us until after we hired Blooms.
