Love the home kit and the green and white one.
By contrast the yellow one is very dull

I love all three of those.
Not loving any of the new kits on first look but neither do I feel the need to cover my eyes. Kind of a mid table kit selection although I see we have the yellow sold in the shop as an ‘Away’ kit which is, of course, beyond the pale.

Good to get the ladies team and the academy kids involved too.
I still expect half a dozen players to leave before the window closes, but it’s great to see everyone given a clean slate and back in training.
Although I’m yet to catch a glimpse of Shamal
George.
Bradford are selling tickets for the Wycombe game. I’ve emailed Admin on when our allocation go on sale.
If you can get to Clapham Junction then Jack’s is a great place for a fry up and the 77 bus will take you from outside to Plough lane in about 10 mins from the bus stop outside TK Maxx.
Still quite a walk to Valley Parade from there😉
It’s right by Wimbledon though, so if you find yourself there you could see if they have a game on instead?
Interestingly, Wycombe have drifted in the odds for L1 (outright). The market was stagnant since end of season but has moved in the last week.
Wycombe are 29/1 on the exchange (very small depth, only just over £10k of liquidity currently staked) and drifted with some (including the big bookmaker) to 20/1 with the bookies.
For promotion, Wycombe are 9th favourites at 11/2 (bookies, no exchange book offered).
Will be interesting to see how the books look after MW1.
Interesting because it’s coincided with our competitors losing some of their best players, such as Bolton losing Thomason, or others recruiting some lower profiled players than originally anticipated, such as Luton recruiting Kodua. Then you’ve got Cardiff pretty much standing still and Plymouth not doing too much either. Obviously Huddersfield have spent loads, but they also have a rookie manager. I have it very open this season.
I got 12-1 pre season last year for promo inc via play offs, would have expected shorter odds now given last seasons showing
We had a good manager then!
I think 9th feels probably about right. There are just far too many unknowns to have anything more than a semi-educated guess as to how we’ll do.
Personally I think we’ve recruited quite well in terms of quality and potential but I think MD has a lot of work to do to make the team equal or better than the sum of its parts, which I think will be needed if we want to be in the promotion/play-off mix.
I think we’ll have one of the most unsettled squads in the league. This is mainly because of the transfers that we have and suspect that it’ll take us a few months until we ‘click’. Having at least 9 players (correct at time of writing) potentially making their debuts in the first few weeks of the season is really going to take it toll. Hopefully by mid-Sept, we’ll have put a few results together and we can help the team to push on.
In his interviews Dodds repeatedly talks about being patient and things will take time having to integrate 9 new players and completely changing our brand of football. I’m not expecting a flying start to the season unfortunately.
