Laurie Shala has joined Tonbridge Angels on loan, time not specified. He started in today’s 1-0 defeat at Chippenham Town.
What or who is the connection with Tonbridge?? As it seems a fair few of our youngsters, go there. It’s hardly round the corner. Paul Emblem started his career there, and I think his dad had something to do with the Angels.
That sent me on a search @Borgoff. Phil Emblen, father of Paul and Neil, had two stints as manager of the Angels, 1985-88 and 1990-96. Both brothers started their career at Tonbridge when their father was manager. Paul finished his career there after leaving us in 2002, Phil is a life Vice President of the club.
Our other loanee there, Jack Matton, is not getting much of a look in, not in the match day squads at the moment. He last played on 4 October and we know he is not injured because he had a rather good game for us at Gillingham.
He did come off injured in that Gillingham game though
Brody Peart scores early for Tonbridge Angels vs Hampton & Richmond
First goal at Chesham for Jaiden Bartolo today vs Dorking Wanderers
Body Peart sent off against Hemel.
Looking at the Chesham commentary, Jaiden should have had at least one more if the service from teammates was better. One incident where a teammate had a perfect opportunity to square it for a Bartolo tap-in but got greedy and blasted it wide
Bartolo effort handled on the line by a Dover defender this week, ref didn’t see it, Dover win 1-0.
Good luck to Shamal George today in the Scottish League Cup Final against Celtic. He has a rare chance for one of our current players to collect a winners medal. Kick-off is at 15:30, live on Premier Sports.
Superb result! ![]()
Fantastic result, really pleased for him.
Should have kept MON for the rest of the season
Killian Phillips also in the team.
Swapping MoN for Nancy makes swapping Kone for Fink only the second stupidest football decision of 2025
Shamal post-match interview.
i have a feeling that this might be the highlight of our season
We loan George out, while retaining an U21 keeper. The latter plays horribly and is benched. The former becomes a major domestic cup winner. Surreal.
