It would be good to think he could come back here after his loan period as our no 1 keeper. But maybe he would want to stay up there, we would get a fee?

They can have van Sas

We could throw in Fink as a freebie!

Don’t let any St Mirren fans hear you say that!

James Berry started, and supplied an assist, for Chesterfield in their 1-1 draw at Oldham Athletic this afternoon.

Probably need to recall him for Sunday at least.

My Chesterfield supporting mates still don’t rate him & wonder what we saw in him that was worth paying for

A common theme running through nearly all our signings since last summer

Why, he’s useless?

Because we’re done to 18/19 fit players, three of them are goalkeepers, and most of them will
be knackered from yesterday.

Emblen!

But haven’t we got the maximum number of players registered with the EFL unless? Plus after Wimbledon we’ve got about 14 days before the next game when some of the injuries may have cleared up. Do we really want to increase the already bloated squad

No, we don’t, we have 21. And even if we did squad registration rules don’t now apply until February.

Love the look of disbelief on his teammate’s face after one of those saves.

Didn’t know that. But we are still bound by the Financial regs and getting even more players to add to the current 30ish would increase our wage bill even more.

My suggestion is to get Berry back for Sunday only (given our injury crisis) which is unlikely to financially cripple the club.

We’re surely still paying a fair amount of his wages anyway.

Arthur Gregory joins Bracknell Town on an initial 28 day loan. He was a sub for today’s home game against Berkhamsted but the ref called the game off after the scheduled kick-off time, because part of the 3G pitch was frozen.

Edit - I blame the foxes.
