I agree I thought Morley was utter class in the first half…ran the show. Not quite so effective second half but pretty good. He’s the best midfielder I’ve seen for Wycombe in 33 years support.
Went for Vidigal for goal and willingness to attack. Funnily enough, imperious as he was for the first 45, I thought Morley’s passing in second half was dreadful.
Morley did lose his radar for a while 2nd half, but he still looked the most likely to create something.
Overall Morley’s return has been a huge plus for us. Always a worry he wouldn’t rediscover his form from 1st half of last season, but he’s slotted right back in. In amongst some very mixed signings he’s stood out as an outstanding and much needed bit of business
Exactly this. He has become the new Josh Scowen. And it was noticeable how after a brilliant 1st half Morley was fairly average second half and I am beginning to thing that whoever it is that says that he and Henderson can’t play together may have a point
Boyd - Munce makes a huge difference to the way both Morley and the team play, in my opinion. I believe those two playing together is key. Although I like the look of Henderson I believe a midfield of Morley, Boyd - Munce and Mullins will form our future midfield.
Hoping for a new goalkeeper and centre forward in the summer plus one experienced centre back. Oh, and Sam Bell
