Hold on to that thought, young Donnelly !
I honestly don’t feel qualified to vote.
Agreed, I didn’t see it and due to gremlins, the BBC Devon coverage was interrupted somewhat.
Same, I don’t have enough information to have an objective point.
Myself and AC having similar thoughts - going McNeilly as he played the least minutes, so was least responsible for the smashing!
I went with Woodrow, I thought his link play was good.
I listened on the radio but to be honest from the commentary none of our players got enough mentions to stand out in my memory - so no vote from me either
Woodrow for me too. Dropped deep and played some lovely balls into space in the second half, finally linking the midfield to the attack. Interesting to see him taking corners (although it does give Roy Hodgson Euros flashbacks!).
Sounds like you were there @CurrieToScoreFirst, in which case your judgement is to be respected. Surely Cauley Woodrow always spends most of the time sitting deep, feeding wide forward players and only occasionally pushing forward himself. The reason, I assume, that he’s not a prolific goalscorer himself and shouldn’t be expected to be.
Posted at the stage when he had 100% of the votes. He had the only vote. I was in a silly post match down in the dumps kind of mood.
Brighten up @micra, we could still have Dodds in charge ![]()
.
Yes, he does. He’s a mobile centre forward in the same way as a Kane-type player. He changed in the second half, though, when Fink came on. Woodrow moved closer to a number 10 role (filling the gap made by the Mullins substitution) which seemed to make it easier to find space, turn and play some lovely passes. He really does have some terrific vision and, crucially, the ability to find the player he sees.
Ah, yes, but don’t forget that Michael Duff’s new manager bounce is well and truly over and we’ve all completely misjudged him as a manager.
You know it’s true. @Chairboys80 says so.
That comment in response to @Blue_since_1990.
My key point was aimed at those whose expectations that he would score more goals than he has (over his long career) are ill-founded.
