Had to go with Fred after our 2nd goal, but had he not scored I was tempted to go with Harvie, very calm and assured on the ball and picked a lot of intelligent passes.

I gave to Harvie. Thought he was tremendous

Fred even before the goal. Properly worked their defence. But that goal was the glorious icing on the cake.

Fred, Harvie & Henderson were all excellent. Take your pick.

I took Fred, not just because he was back to his best but because he seems to have been persuaded to stop very unsubtly pushing opponents over.

I’ve forgotten the name of the regular left back for Fulham but he’s one of their best players so it could be an interesting challenge to Fred on Tuesday evening.

Sessegnon - but don’t think he’ll play Tuesday.

I wouldn’t presume to have any more insight than you as to Fulham’s XI.

But I will say, they are the type of club where I would think they have a fair chance of taking this tournament very seriously, and not just putting the kids/stiffs out.

The League Cup is probably their best chance of achieving anything this season other than keeping their heads above water in the EPL, and a place in the quarterfinals isn’t necessarily something to be sniffed at for them.

For sure, if we were playing a Top 6 EPL side, I’d expect to see at best a half-strength XI, with the big guns on the bench.

The only reason for me that FFC might rest players on Tuesday is if they’re sufficiently worried about relegation to just say “focus on the league and nothing but”, but that isn’t how I see it going. I could very easily be wrong though.

I can see Fulham playing a second string and U21’s with two massive league games against Wolves and Everton coming up. In the league they have had four straight loses.

They have an issue at LB with Robinson being injured, he played in the last League Cup round against Cambridge, the only other recognised LB is Sessegnon and I suspect they won’t risk him as they need him for the two league games, likely to be a youngster with Ryan on the bench if they are chasing the game.

Record £35M man “Kevin” start out on the left hand side in front of the young LB and Samu on loan from AC Milan start on the other wing, if he recovers from a slight injury.

Could also see the 6ft 5 kid on loan from Bayern Munich start up front to ease the pressure on the first team players.

A friend who is very much involved with Holmer Green football club and also follows Fulham reckons they have quite a problem currently with injuries to senior players. Shades of Huddersfield perhaps but no doubt much more assured when playing out from the back.
