sorry, is that a joke anders until he was injured was our best player this season in my opinion, i love Fred don’t get me wrong but this guy has not been that good recently also on his day he is not top 3 in the league as well, casey should be up there as well. Also in my opinion junior has been better than Fred more recently

Dan Harvie just beats him he’s been outstanding.
Fred for me too, Harvie close second, probably Grimmer third. All three of them players who got us to the brink of automatic promotion and still have that desire and drive. None of them signed by Rice.

I dont feel Chairboys said he wants Dodds back . Its more about him only giving certain players game time. Usually it seems ones that have some prior connection or known to him. It really does appear he takes issues with specifically with the Euro players. We just have not seen their true capability despite the fact these are players that are in contract and not on loan.
Wasn’t Harvie signed following the takeover? He was a money signing i think.

If memory serves me correctly Fink had an injury soon after arrival in July and they were waiting for him to be match fit. Brought in woodrow last day of summer signings . Dodda gone late September and Fink never really got a look in.

Under Dodds, not Duff. Since Duff came in Anders has been pretty much ever present until injury.

Anders has been an excellent addition in my opinion. He has the confidence and ability on the ball, reads the game really well and has that passion to do well for the club. Casey is exactly the same, his never say die attitude, willing to throw himself in the way of any shot or cross and you know he’ll never back down from any challenge.
The only down-side to their game is the aerial threat / ability. Just because they aren’t the same size as Bradley, Taylor or Low from last season, doesn’t make them weaker. They’re strengths are much stronger than those we had last season, while their weaknesses are clear, I don’t think they have been a step down at all.
Hmm well it all remains to be seen. Personally I feel he has it wrong on Fink and Van Sas
I find it interesting.
In the first 5 league games under Duff. Anders was not in squad. Game 6 against Huddersfield he was on the bench. Then started against Orient, and has been in since.
Duff is initially played Taylor and Allen, with Casey on the bench. Injuries and suspensions got Anders and Casey in to first choice.
I do wonder who close we got to writing Anders off as another big money waste.

Im not sure he is wrong on Fink, though hes not as bad a player as some say.
Id like to see MvS, young keepers need time to learn.

Grimmer Vs Exeter mhm, grimmer has fallen off recently and hasn’t been as commanding with the team, I can name at least 5 more commanding players, regardless he does put a lot of effort in but compared to boyd munce or Henderson he seems a bit lackluster, I think he fits more into a central role and I think the match against port vale when we had him at centre the team worked a lot more smoothly

Had to remind myself how the 24/25 team of the season looked - and only Kone of ours got in there.
I’d have argued that our mid 3 until Jan was as strong as most teams in the league, and certainly the centre back combo would have taken some beating. Fred and Harvie competitive against anyone else in the league too.
This year probably not much of the above as we only got Morley back late on, and Hendo has barely had a run, and CBM barely had a look in for half a season too.
Probably Harvie and Fred competitive against most in the division though.
Anders is the same height as C Taylor and very marginally shorter than Bradley and Low.
As our other friend Taylor shows, being very tall doesn’t always mean you’re an aerial beast.
As much as you’re my favourite animal related username in gasroom history, I would struggle not to slap you with a wet fish and challenge you to a duel at any suggestion either he or Casey aren’t a proper dip down in quality from the 3 from last year.
I think it’s a very very clear level of tiers that goes like this

Anders / Casey
Taylor / Allen
