Stepping in for @BSE this week.
Our away day guide can be found here.
Player and team stats here.
Fink to come on at 60mins, score a hattrick and go on to power us to a playoff winning season. Dodds to realise in this game that impressive fannying about stats mean nothing unless you win games. He’ll start mixing in a bit of getting the ball forward as quickly as possible, who cares of we lose it. He’ll also buy himself some decent touchline clothes rather than looking like he’s on a stag do to Dubai. The gasroomerati will unite under the banner of the project.
Changed my mind… 70% possession but a 2-0 win for Bromley
How many recognised first team players will play today? Will Henderson & Westergaard be given more minutes to improve their fitness or will they not be risked? Will Fink be given some match practice? Hopefully Back will play to stake a bigger claim to play in league matches?
Assuming that Bromley’s league cup team will be broadly on a par with Leyton Orient’s, aren’t we likely to field a similar lineup to the one that departed victorious from Brisbane Road, including a 16 year old faux number 9 ?
What’s good enough for Liverpool………
Is the match going to be only on Sky?
If so, would it be fair to mrs micra to watch at least some of it?
Yes, it should be @micra
Not so sure if we want to progress.
Sky+ and NowTV apparently.
I’d have Taylor in for Casey, Taylor Allen for Hartridge (if still injured), and Henderson for Fred (although wasn’t he skipper against Orient?)
“Society wants all the pleasure, and it wants it now.”
Extraordinary that having spent so much on players in the summer we’re going into games with Bromley and Stevenage and i have no confidence we’ll get a result in either.
Now TV’s showing £15 for tonight any chance we can pull the VPN trick and get it for £10? Or is the club not running an overseas stream this time?
If you are local, the match is being shown in one of the lounges, I think. Even if you’re not local, it’ll still be shown!
I believe food and drink are available and ÂŁ10 secures a seat.
Hope that’s correct.
No it wouldn’t be fair on Mrs Micra. Let her watch Coronation Street in peace!
Yes, in Monty’s bar.
Not sure why this thread isn’t live.
I just want to say we need to look out for Omar Solunmi tonight - a real man mountain at 6’5” and built like a tank. Against Ipswich he was rated in one poll as top player from either side. There was only one Ipswich player in the top six.
Apparently Solunmi is essentially a central defender (imagine Cameron Stones up against him) but has also played up front on occasions.
One other player to look out for is Michael Cheek who, even at 34, is still banging them in.
mrs micra was incensed by your suggestion. She gave up soaps decades ago. I have to keep all the windows open, night and day.
Anything less than a convincing win tonight and he has to go
I imagine her as the 2025 version of Minnie Caldwell! Hopefully Mrs Micra doesn’t combust with that suggestion!
