The next four games will be a massive test.
Well, I was there, right behind the largely untroubled Burton keeper. The only highlight of note as far as I recall was the ref (who appeared to be running-in a wig for Robbie Savage) got clattered and was subbed off. Other than that, Iâd start looking for those rusty pliers.
The highlight for me was when Woodrow had to change to an unnumbered shirt, after getting blood on his.
The commentator said it wouldnât make any difference, as you couldnât see the numbers anyway against the chequered background - never a truer word spoken.
They should have designed those shirts with a large white square on the back.
The ref was the aptly named Neil Hair.
Frustrating game, the away end was good, did all we could for the lads, but that was pretty dire.
I feel we are simply in âdamage limitationâ until the January window which canât come soon enough now.
Someone mentioned this earlier about Henderson being missing and how itâs hurting us, he really has been the conductor.
Will take a point. Henderson, Scowen, Allen, Abbott all to return and a couple of signings and all could be well for the second half. This league is still well and truly open, thankfully.
I will be happy with mid table this season. Easily pleased me .
If you look at Championship-ready teams of recent times theyâve generally outperformed and overwhelmed the opposition with their quality (they also either had Champ players in the building or invested on a scale not seen before in L1). Of course, we had a few notable results against the top sides and promotion challenges because we outfought our opponents and nullified their footballing superiority.
I donât see our current crop outperforming or out battling on a consistent basis, hence where we are in the table and Duffâs probing âwhat are we?â questioning in recent weeks. He canât use that line forever and wonât be immune to criticism as time goes on.
Hopefully itâll only take a few tweaks and returnees to see us looking upwards.
No shots of the boys celebrating for obvious reasons but a couple of photos that made me laugh when I got there.
Out of interest based on our current squad do you think we should be higher up the table? If it wasnât for Duff my view is weâd probably be sat in the bottom 4 currently.
The squad heâs been given is mid table at best which for all we know may be the OG ambition for this season.
on paper is a very good sqaud however if we miss vital players like Henderson and Scowen then we have no leaders in that team, Duff has absolutely killed Finks confidence, hardly gives him a chance (needs 3 or 4 games in a row) and wants to keep his mate Woodrow in the team who has offered nothing for weeks , I do think Duff is an uplift on Dodds but things he does baffles me âŚwhy bench Casey for Taylor when Casey has arguably been MOM in games he starts âŚ.why does he not give Junior more game time? took MVS out of the team, CBM hardly gets a look inâŚ.Duff has single handily smashed the confidence of many of our playersâŚ.which has massively impacted the sqaud
Shame we play on grass then. ![]()
sorry.
When those shirts first appeared at Bradford I emailed the club 3 times about the fact the names and numbers were difficult to see
Not even the curtesy of an acknowledgment
Obviously they havenât recruited a head of shirt identification coordinator on about ÂŁ80 k a year to deal with it
Not sure who you emailed but theyâre probably not going to email back
âIâll change it now youâve askedâ though.
Perhaps you have forgotten the Barnsley game when he came on at 2-0 down and changed the game , including the last minute equaliser.
Yes that was a nice turnout, but just a mere glimmer iâm afraid.
Heâs got it all to prove that he can be a regular starter.
Fink isnt a league 1 footballer and never will be. Way off the standard.
based on what? a couple or cameos ?? he needs a run in the team to understand whether he can cut it or not , he needs to be told that he is in the line up for 3 to.4 games , then we will know if he can cut the mustard, its massively unfair on the lad that Woodrow gets in the team no matter how shit he plays âŚplayers need a chance and Duff is not giving them a crack âŚ.poor man management from the gaffer
Based on the fact he looks completely out of his depth. Duff and the coaching staff work with him day in day out and the fact heâs not playing tells you everything you need to know. My eyes tell me heâs well off this level. Iâm sure heâll find his level but itâs not league 1.
No, of course not, but courteous acknowledgement that there may be a problem wouldâve been nice
Itâs called basic public relations
How on earth can you slate Leathy and Mullins and say Fink needs a chance⌠delusional specimen
