Match Day Thread : Charlton (Play-offs first leg)

Doubt it. Just been to AP and it’s currently a bit of a building site.

Just to note there is nothing illegal about using a VPN to watch the game

It may be against the T&Cs of a streaming service, but it’s not illegal in the way that using Firesticks to watch pirated streams is.

Good point

I’m very pleased to hear this!

Might not be true, if it’s copyrighted and the owner sets the conditions (including country) it’s against the law to watch it outside of those conditions.

Sorry. Am I alone in not understanding this post?

Just had a look at the Charlton forum. They are nervous.

No way are we winning tomorrow, and anyway Leyton and Stockport both look way way better than us.

Leyton orient are waiting…

What a time for Stockports ability to hit the target to completely dessert them.
Orient with more than a hint of luck.

I’m sat in a restaurant in Portugal eating fish ‘n chips (which as Sido will tell you were invented in these ‘ere parts). Anyway sat next to a Charlton fan and , got to tell you, they are rattled. They anticipated an easy semi.
Oh, and Orient are beatable at Wembley.

Dinner?

Massively jumping the gun here, but we’ve just had a great insight into how Orient might line up for penalties against us at Wembley. A lot of easy research to undertake should we get there. Orient much more beatable than Stockport who I thought were dominant over two legs. Funny how it works out.

Of course dinner out. Had we taken them home then that, of course, would have been a fish supper.

Merely breaching the T&Cs of a streaming service isn’t the same as committing a criminal offence.
The warnings you used to get on VHSes about criminal offences were for breaches of the home usage licence. If you were to use a VPN to watch a game on Wanderers TV and then show it at a pub you ran, that would potentially be illegal.

If you’re just watching at home, Wanderers TV/EFL could in theory terminate the contract to stream the game to you but PC Plod won’t necessarily come knocking at your door.

There’s a full list of countries where you can watch the game on Wanderers TV on the WWFC website.

The good news is that you can enjoy the strains of Catchpole while travelling through North Korea, but he’s cancelled in France.

I will be watching from the home of Brut 33. Fabrique en Belgique!
