WanderersTV subscribers are reminded that there’ll be no live video stream of Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup second round tie at Exeter City due to the competition’s broadcast regulations.
This includes overseas territories. Match highlights will be available from midday on Sunday.
Subscribers can listen to audio commentary as usual.
I see The Cup is now of so little significance that nobody’s even commented on today’s match yet. I’ve always loved The Cup but scrapping replays was the final nail in the coffin. For smaller clubs, replays were the magic.
I still love the Cup and enjoyed the First Round match against Plymouth. This tie isn’t one to get hearts racing but it’s a great chance to get through to the hallowed Third Round.
I wonder if the fringe players have blown their chance, or whether a few will get another bite at the cherry given the league is likely our priority.
Sadly, we won’t be seeing Ewan Henderson today as his toe injury is expected to keep him out for about a month. Chance for Jamie Mullins to have his best game yet. And good to have Luke Leahy back, assuming he has managed to stay clear of the bugs that have depleted the squad over the last couple of weeks.
Hope everyone who has travelled has a great day. Other commitments ruled this out for the Good Lady Teacher Her Indoors and myself so radio commentary it is.
I actually think in the world we live in it’s a real shame we can’t watch it on the telly.
Possibly alone with this view, but I bet it’s one of Exeter’s lowest Saturday gates of the season anyway, and I won’t be sat at home listening on the radio because it’s the year 2025, won’t be travelling to Exeter for a full day out so close to crimbo and preferring to save some cash so it’s actually making me have less interest in the cup indirectly.
Why not make it a tenner on TV, I’d pay, and the money can go to Exeter as the home team.
Agreed, utterly bizarre. Every EFL club has the infrastructure to do it, it happens every week.
If it was being live-streamed on different subscription based channel I’d understand it, but making it totally unwatchable across the globe is nonsensical.
