I agree, the mistake aside,he was very good.I think a lot of people forget how young he is because of his size. The guy is still leaning his craft. As is Mullins.
Just read the BBC report of last nightâs game, and it basically reads as follows:

FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM,
FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM,
FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM,

FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM,
FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM, FULHAM,

Great reportingâŚâŚer
Last night was the first time Iâve really enjoyed a Wycombe game since Peterborough and Orient at home a year ago. I didnât see the Huddersfield game so canât judge how this compared to a solid league win, but so much of the Dodds negativity already seemed consigned to a distant memory last night - it will be interesting to see how Rice justifies/contextualises it in the upcoming fans forum.
Last night we had a well-drilled team playing without fear. It was Fulham who went of at half time to some boos from their support, while we had Luke Leahy continually geeing up the home support. The fact that Fulham had to bring on some big names and still scored only once is a great credit to Wycombe. Weâre now starting to see a solid matchday squad emerging, and I suspect weâll see little of Van Sas, Quitirna, Tilley, Casey, Skura or Westergaard in the coming weeks, with the Development Squad players staying firmly in the Development Squad. Taylor, Lowry, Back and Huggins still seem a notch down on the players theyâve replaced, but all have some promise. Theyâll need to step up if they want to displace those ahead of them.
We had a shade under 8,000 in the ground last night, but getting away was chaotic. The club may have control of Hillbottom Road, but the transport company seems to ignore anything the club tries to do and leaves one or two artic trailers parked in the road anyway. Not a good neighbour.
Meanwhile, every taxi in Wycombe seems to be drawn to the roundabout at the end of the road, competing with 2,301 mums and dads waiting to pick up their kids and a few hundred casuals and Fulham fans whoâd just dumped their cars anywhere (with quite a few ticketed).
Iâd left Guildford at 4.30. finally got off the Marlow bypass at 6.30 and then had a half hour weave through the backstreets to Dashwood Ave. The club really will struggle if it goes up to the championship in the next couple of years and has to manage 8k+ crowds on a regular basis. Still, if thatâs all I have to worry about, life canât be too bad, and certainly today I feel a lot more positive about Wycombe Wanderers than I have for many a month.
The traffic off Hillbottom Road, especially turning right towards Lane End was absolute carnage. Cars parked on both sides on yellow lines and no one could get through in either direction.
It has been bad this season since theyâve blocked Hillbottom. I also think it creates problems before the match for those who want to drive up, drop off, turn round and go back down. That was never really an issue in the past and now theyâve created an unnecessary issue before matches by blocking the last 200-300 yards off.
I think itâs creating more problems than itâs solving before and after games. However, hopefully they review each week and take learnings.
There needs to be a collective thought between Council, Club and local businessâ about having some pick up points after games that do not block the roads right next to Hillbottom Road. Iâd also let a few cars up Hillbottom after the game as far as Pladis/McVities to park up to collect people, as this always helped the flow.
A month ago there was very little to love about Wycombe Wanderers.
Last night:
I loved Will Norrisâ commanding presence in goal.
I loved Jack Grimmer giving it everything, a real captainâs performance.
I loved Taylor Allen looking the part at left back and charging forward when he could.
I loved Connor Taylor proving the doubters wrong with a fantastic, commanding display. I also loved his role in the high press,
I loved Anders Hagelskjaerâs partnership with Taylor and his fantastic clearance off the line.
I loved Luke Leahyâs on pitch coaching of both his team-mates and the crowd.
I loved how Ewan Henderson is turning into the complete midfielder. His performance was on par with that of his namesake.
I loved how Jamie Mullins responded to some poor performances with such a mature one, demonstrating the talent he has.
I loved how Fred Onyedinma scared Fulham so much they had to make a change at half time. I loved how he responded in the second half with a fine defensive display.
I loved Cauley Woodrowâs goal and his all-round leadership qualities.
I loved Sam Bellâs all-round trickery and endeavour.
I love Michael Duffâs style of management. Heâs not put a foot wrong or said one word out of place.
I love how a month ago we looked like a sorry collection of individuals and now look like a proper team who are putting their bodies on the line for the cause. I love how our fans have responded to the playersâ efforts. I love how weâve got our Wycombe back.
I love that post. ![]()

Delighted that my tax money is being used to try and catch a really bad criminal that threw an empty plastic bottle. Iâm sure itâs a great use of my tax. They absolutely must give this teenager a polite telling off. Maybe they could have investigated when my parked car was crashed into and written off by an uninsured driver, when I had the perpetratorâs address, post code and number plate - all captured on dash cam. Great priorities TVP. There are multiple brothels in my area that you continue to ignore investigating further. Multiple drug dens. Multiple grooming gangs. Carry on chasing that teenage boy. Useless vermin.

They threw something that hit someone doing their job
If someone lobbed a plastic bottle at me from across the office Iâd laugh. If anyone tried to call the police Iâd call them deranged.
It should not be done and if you allow a plastic bottle next time itâs a ÂŁ2 coin or a dart. That said it was only an empty plastic bottle.
There are people on the facebook group saying the guy(or girl) who did it should be banned for life. Also that their thoughts go out to the official hit and that they hope he is OK.For me those comments just go to show what a bunch of woke pussies we have become.
The club do have to be seen to be taking it very seriously though because of punishment,an announcement from TVP about the manhunt for the perpetrator is probably in this spirit.
I would imagine a fine is incoming but I am sure the victim will be unlikely to develop PTSD.
To call out throwing missiles on the pitch makes someone a woke pussy? Wowsers.
Defending someone who threw stuff at a match official seems a really weird hill to die on.
Didnât someone lob a coin at Saha (?) when we played them many moons ago at Craven Cottage (I was there and didnât see anything but supposedly it happened), maybe Fulham just bring out the throwing types in our supportâŚ.
Or a very weird person!
That is simply not what I said.
Somebody threw a plastic bottle at Wycombe Nose Club when we played them in 1887. All the players ran away screaming, as plastic hadnât been invented back then so they hadnât got a fucking clue what was going on. True story.
ok that made me laugh
I see Tom Cleverley has just been given the vote of confidence from the Plymouth board. Weâll see how that pans out on Saturday.
Being a tightwad helps me, but I wouldnât dare park in either some of the tight spaces in and around the ground, or want to park on a sloping grassy bank that takes 30-60mins to get out unless you leave early.
Thereâs one car park that looks a nightmare, left hand side about 200m after leaving Hilbottom Road.
If you get there early, you have about 10 cars blocking you in and youâre utterly beholden to others to get going.
Then you join a really busy road as taxis and others perch on the surrounding roads.
Pure stress all round.
Versus parking 3/4m - 1mile away.
One minute youâre trying to engineer a weird sort of non racist chant into one, now youâre saying some scumbag throwing stuff at an official isnât that bad.
The point isnât what theyâve thrown - itâs the fact they have thrown something.
Get them found - get them banned. Job done.
