Just to pick up on the commentator on Sky there were actually only 2 stands when we first visited Huddersfield, the 3rd wasn’t finished and the 4th wasn’t started
The lad on the right giving Leahy quite a challenge tonight. Worryingly we might need a couple of goals to win this one
The most frustrating part is we have a midfield and attack brimming with good ball players, yet were spending our time knocking it from Norris to Grimmer and back again.
Any shred of confidence has vanished
Leahy’s doing his best going forward but a massive liability defensively. Their first goal will probably come down that side.
This feels like grown up football compared to what we normally get,
But I want WINNING football
Is it just me that thinks Kone is a touch slow at times? I’ve thought this ever since he joined to be honest. Often he gets away with it through some skill and strength but every now and then it’s frustrating watching a defender make up the ground and take it away.
We’re very ‘meh’.
No realc threat, no control of the game and Humphreys shootimg from 40 yards pretty much sims us up at the moment.
When we all look back at the shooting stats and xay we had 40 shots worth remembering that that counts as a shot.
He must have gained about 7-8kg of muscle since he signed. Bound to slow him down. Its benefited his game massively though. A lot of his game is planting himself and doing very well in aerials against big League 1 centre halves.
Simon’s’ corners are great.
It’s not just him to be fair and I’ve thought it since he first joined but our attack does lack a genuinely rapid player at the moment so our counters aren’t quite as zippy as would be ideal.
Simons deliveries massively better then Leahy’s fr corners. Also, corners look like our best bet for a goal. Taylor is monstering their defenders.
Well tbh, i thought that was quite an entertaining half !
Minutes without a goal: 249.
(Though we could average 0.00 goals per game and someone would come along claiming it was this bad at the end of Blooms’ reign).
Another good performance just missing a goal
Dull…Dull…dull
We aren’t losing though, I prefer dull to exciting for the other fans.
According to stats we haven’t a shot on target, we just had a shot cleared of the line
The Huddersfield stadium does seem to be the best example of how to replace your historical stadium while still making something unique fans can be proud of. Most since have been Bore-Bowls.
