Surprised at some of the reactions to the starting 11 but prob understandable after the last few days. He’s clearly gone for more leaders and experience in the team (and bench) after the 10 min debacle last week. As good as Taylor has been, he’s very quiet and not a leader type, and Parker v inexperienced. You have to think last weeks collapse wouldn’t have happened had there been some bigger voices/leaders in the back 4
I’d like someone to go back and check the goals we have conceded and if Taylor has lost his man. He certainly didn’t react to Barry’s goal vs Peterborough (just assumed our keeper wouldn’t make a save and stopped running) my feeling is that’s not the only one this season
I think he has looked better when in possession and at the attacking end of the pitch, but still dodgy when it has come to actually defending. Which is is primary job.
Grimmer, cook Harvie, and Anders, smacks of expirence over form during a period that the teams form (if not individual player form) has been atrocious.
And Anders was, arguably, our best defender at times last season so his inclusion over Casey/taylor could be down to that.

Taylor struggled in the Stockport game, from memory.
Hes fibe, but weve been defensively poor this year. Abd hes suddenly become prime Baresi

Poor chap is doomed if he doesn’t make changes, imposes his/ Dan Rice vision etc. and doomed if he does. We don’t know about injuries at the moment.

Anders has more of a mistake in him than what Taylor has and Taylor is only getting better. His improvement has been considerable and he’s been the best centre back this season. Anders has at least one ricket per game whether it be a miss hit clearance or losing his man in the box when they run off him. Yes Anders better on the ball but Taylor deserved to start today.
Scathing pre-match comments directed towards the ownership group on 3CR. Poor old Sam’s going to be getting the Eduard glare next time they meet.
