At least when Bloomfield seemed lost early on and was quoting xG we were ahead on that, now our xG is close to zero.
I can’t even feel particularly upset or angry today. It felt so inevitable, as does timid play off defeat.

I’d imagine a rested Kone would have been quite handy for the play offs. He’s been run into the ground.
It’s been slowly winding down to this, and the performances in the games against the top teams haven’t been good enough. We just don’t look like we have any real belief.
He hasnt looked in his email box yet?
It’s also perfectly coincided with Kone’s agent touting him around everywhere since he didn’t get his move to Luton.
It takes a lot of experience to play as a lone striker. The boy was just out of his depth and his confidence went.
Move on!
We didn’t even have a striker on the bench, who does that? Surely either Lubala or Vokes should be ahead of Bakinson as an option?
For Dodds tactics to work, we need a quarterback. Because at the moment the ball is just hoofed forward in the hope someone will pick it up. And as we can see, Kone is knackered, Cam is knackered, Fred simply isn’t good enough for 90 mins anymore and GMac’s age has caught up.
I sound like a broken record, and I know emotions are high, but not buying Morley in January is the single biggest contributing factor, in my opinion, for this clubs slow but downward spiral since the January window. And the stats speak for themselves with Morley.
That’s not Dodds’s fault, that’s not the players fault, that’s on DR.
We will now be a L1 club next year, with no Cam, Kone, Low, Taylor and Norris fucking hates us.
Very sobering.
Where’s the shower of shites post match interview? Useless c#nt
Norris “hates us” for good reason imo. The reactions of a certain group of fans are a disgrace. The past few months have been difficult and we’ve thrown away a great chance of promotion, but we are still in the play offs, and still have our highest League 1 points total ever. To boo and abuse the team in that situation is disgusting.
Don’t want to give up on Dodds , however any other manager would be looking at the playoffs and be thinking right we need to change things ok concede a few but at least score . If the owner is that wealthy would he be looking to change managers for next season, however I do have this nigling doubt that maybe he doesn’t want us to go up as it doesn’t suit the big picture or maybe this season is to early.
there is no excises for.Dodds any longer , his tactics are pathetic and.negative and the sqaud do seem to be united any longer…Dan Rice is the main person to blame, thinks he is better than he is…both have killed our momentum and hope.we choke the play offs so that they both get sacked
As frustrating as it is, I think the reality is that both Rice and Dodds will be here next season regardless of how this one ends
Completely agree. There’s a sub section of our fan base who are a disgrace to our club. I was having a beer in a pub around the corner before kick off, and some of them were more concerned about stuffing shit up their noses at 11am than attending a huge football game.
Having said that, to my earlier post, the vast majority of Wycombe fans today were magnificent and we out sung the home supporters easily. Even when that Leyton goal went in, the majority were backing the lads.
Exactly. The reality is Dodds and Rice will probably be here next season with us in L1. However, let’s remember the moment most people booed Ainsworth off the pitch against Bristol Rovers when we looked all but into non league. Or, perhaps when Blooms looked completely out of his depth against Cheltenham at home, and then v Fleetwood.
Tough to say after the recent shit, but who knows what could happen
The biggest disappointment of this season for me is the confidence of the team seems totally shot over the last few weeks. We will be entering the playoffs for the first time in a position where the majority of the fans (and possibly a number of the players and coaching staff) deep down probably don’t believe we can win them.
I’m all for competition for places, but I’d imagine all the January signings left a number of the players questioning whether the hierarchy at the club were confident they could get us over the line.
And I’m afraid that although Dodds may be an incredible man manager (although we have nothing to prove this other than some anecdotal evidence from his career previous to Wycombe), everything I have seen from the man - whether it be his negative ‘afraid to be beaten’ formations and tactics, or his excruciating-to-watch interviews - I just can’t believe he is a man that can bring confidence back to the club.
Even with the loss of a number of players, I genuinely believe we are going to have the nucleus of an incredibly strong League One squad for next season. But I feel that we are currently a wounded animal three games away from being put out of its misery.
And then we’ll go again and deep down I’m hoping it’s with someone else at the helm
I did feel very sorry for Dodds, stood clapping to a volley of abuse after the game.
Yes we’ve been crap, and our chances created across two important games, and negative tactics have been awful.
But he’s a respected youth coach, seems like a nice guy. He’s just currently totally and utterly out of his depth. If that’s his best effort at a response to a 4-0 smashing, we’re all in real trouble.
It’s not really his fault - he’s the second choice after we got rid of the very good manager we had, in search of a nebulous structure we didn’t need.
Lee Carsley is still available!
Okay so if we’re shot of confidence what are the players who haven’t been at fault for the losses doing on the bench? Rav? Sadlier? Reach? Low? Westergaard? Hagelskjaer? Etc.
Manager skill issue.
