Match Day Thread : Leyton Orient

I suppose we should hope Wrexham win so we can rest the team next Saturday.

Not sure he feigned injury. From my eye he looked utterly dejected, heard the boos and left. I don’t blame any player of a team where we are who doesn’t want to hear the boos. Serves nothing

I will say this. That was the best away game I’ve been to this season. The supporters did EVERYTHING they could. Unfortunately just let down by dire tactics and tired limbs.

We’ve got the playoffs. Grand scheme of things, that’s still amazing.

Praising a team for coming out of its shell for 10 minutes should be reserved for the likes of Shrewsbury this season. Teams that have spent the entire season at the foot of the table getting battered.

2 weeks ago it was in our hands to get automatics.

Don’t worry, someone will be along soon enough to tell us all that our xG was much better than Orient’s and therefore nothing we saw with our eyes can be correct, including the final score.

You can farm xG with lots of crappy shots and concede to one decent one that’s why it doesn’t work out of context. xG per shot can be sort of useful as well but any data can be presented favourably for a variety of opinions.

I was trying to find a positive!

Just not sure about Mr Dodds

Has Dodds been sacked/resigned yet?

Will today be the Dodds interview when he turns on the players? It’s coming, but I think we’ll see it after losing the playoff semi.

Our xG must be zero, surely. Sorry, this stuff just passes me by.

That was last week’s. 4.5 minutes of blaming the players, followed by “obviously I accept responsibility”

I blame Pep Guardiola.

Today was poor, and I have no xG argument. But, I would say that Kone’s form has been far more decisive for our season that Dodds has been.

He’s gone from being the best player in the league to Sunday League standard for the last 2-3 months. His performance today was ABYSMAL, just as it was vs Bolton. Gozie Ugwu levels of incapability. He was almost the sole reason why we couldn’t get any attacks going because he lost the ball every time it went near him

Players ain’t playing for him

And how did that happen to coincide perfectly with the arrival of Dodds I wonder.

Dodds’ arrival did coincide with a bad injury for Kone tbf. And Dodds can’t be held accountable for his complete inability to control a ball or put a shot anywhere near the goalposts

Maybe you could blame Dodds for that in part, but it’s more on Kone than him
