Match Day Thread : Leyton Orient

Nothing posted by the club for over four hours since the game ended. So who knows what’s going on. Like @Midlander I don’t want us to be a sacking club either, but it’s hard to believe Dodds will turn it around in the playoffs.

That would mean Dan Rice admitting he was wrong though, so I won’t hold my breath.

Wrexham signed Sam smith. We signed two blokes we can’t even spell the names of because no one has ever heard of them hahahahaha

Can we get Ainsworth in on loan for the playoffs. And Bayo.

1 goalie that hoofs it up to Kone, with 9 players told that their first priority is to defend in between?

Given how brilliantly Charlton played last week when we gave up on anything better than a draw before kick off, Wrexham went at them and just battered them.

It’s almost like being terrified to attack teams might be less profitable than making at least some effort to impose ourselves on the opponent.

Wrexham deserved to go up.

Faced with two tough games Blackpool (A) and Charlton (H) at this crucial point in the season, they had the courage of their convictions, scored five goals and picked up all six points.

We faced two equally tough games in Charlton (H) and Orient (A), had no faith in our own ability, were hugely overcautious, scored 0 goals, conceded 5 and lost both games with a whimper.

It’s been a self-inflicted fall from grace.

He has but he’s also playing almoat entirely in the right defensive half space.

His attributes make him great on the edge of the opposition box. When is he allowed there under Dodds outside of a free kick?

We’re now a back 5 with two sitting midfielders and Kone isolated up front on his own. It’s not rocket science why we create nothing. Every. Single. Gam.

As it happens CornDog, I was at Leyton Orient supporting our team. Were you?

The self infliction wasn’t the two last games. It was the shit run where we dropped points to bottom eight sides where our attendance was pathetic.

Indeed. Three promotions in a row and a very savvy approach to the media. And they seem to have brought a lot of happiness to their fans and the wider community.

I’d say a lot of our moaning is just jealousy.

No, can’t get to many games these days for health reasons. Thanks for asking.

This season just reinforces to get out of this league you need to spend a lot of money, a big risk if you don’t make it. Sure back to back to back is impressive but it feels so artificial to me.

Reading these comments some fans have short memories, Bloomfield took over a team in playoffs and messed that up, Last season we went through such a winless run that we all wanted him out. MB and his team brought in some shite loan players that 3 got returned in Jan. Let’s get behind Dodds and look fwd to the future. Let’s look at the bigger picture in a few seasons we will be singing ’ he’s one of our own’ with a world class academy. I back Dan Rice and the vision of the club, no more begging fans to invest money in the club, no more getting ripped off in the club shop for last seasons top being marketed as retro. This isn’t and won’t be the last season we have stumbled after the Xmas period. We will have loads of ups and downs but that’s what supporting Wycombe is about.

Spare a thought for Lincoln though, missing out on the chance to play for a close season trip to Disneyland/Las Vegas.

Dodds seems pretty clueless. Kone doesn’t play for him. Zero chance in the play offs and we’ll struggle next season. At least he’ll be gone by Christmas!

Well, I’m genuinely sorry to hear that you have health problems but can’t understand why you were asking where I was. Whatever you think about me I don’t hide away when things go wrong.

Sorry I don’t get it , sticking with a manager is one thing but i’m sorry his tactics haven’t worked and has showed no sign of changing it . Learning by mistakes is a good thing he hasn’t changed a thing, he wanted to stop goals going being conceded that’s ok but not if it stifles the attack . If he has anything about him he will rip it up and try something new for the playoffs.

I’m not sure how you can make it clear who is being booed, especially as a few of the players were nearer the fans than Dodds and wouldn’t have been aware he was behind them.
