Match day thread: Lincoln 25th April 2026 (A)

Juniors a good player but he needs to learn to pass. Longer he takes on the ball. The longer a team have to get back into shape. Needs to drive at them.

Is that the definition of a Jinky Boy?

Oh well, was always going to be tough today but made a good fist of it in the second half.

Hope it’s sunny next Saturday and the IPA is good.

Is it early Ko next week?

May try for it. Beer anyone?

the lino and ref so shit ….missed 2 blatant pens for us ….where do they get these clowns from?

Got to love a pitch invasion.

3PM regular.

Been early before haven’t they?

Taylor Allen as left CB was million times better than Leahy , we do have a strong squad, we just need them to be managed better and tweaks to both parts of the pitch

We were without 5 of our best 11 pretty much. Which is a lot.

What did Norris do on their 4th goal?

stood there …should have come out to command his areas

Now Fink has had his gane, can we push for Lowry.

Lincoln remind me of us when we were successful.

Strong and direct with a great battling team spirit. They only had 34% possession but still looked dangerous throughout. Worthy title winners.

Hmm that lasted well

Yeah I was just thinking that too. I’d much prefer a 3-4 loss to a 0-0 draw, though if that’s a sign that Duff will go back to his favoured back five next season and play direct, I can’t say I’m that impressed. It totally wastes the talents of Morley, Fred, Vidigal, Henderson, Junior… and encourages Norris to go back to his usual trick of knocking it so long it just ends up being collected by the opposition keeper. Hopefully Duff will see that putting five men in front of Norris isn’t enough to stop us shipping four goals and give it up.

Is that really the style of play that our ownership want us to play? They’ll need to sign a beanpole frontman and give up on all the jinky boys, not to mention all the proto-jinky boys coming through the Academy. Or just get rid of Duff and persuade Leon Rosenoir to rebuild his reputation at Wycombe, backed by a decent budget. I know which option I’d prefer the club to pursue.

Duff not holding back in his post match interview.

He seems as unhappy …and to emphasize very very unhappy, with how the squad are performing in training as well as today

If only we had somebody on the books who could take charge of training and match days.

Isn’t it his job to make sure that they are training well? If they arent, then hes to blame, as the direct manager?

Maybe im missing sonething.

Another thread talks about Ainsworth and how he could do it at Wycombe. But, he got all the players to buy in to what he wanted. Even jinky boys like Mehmeti.
