That was against Huddersfield Town on 25th October 2025.
How about a league game against 11 players?
That was against Northampton Town on 20th September 2025. Michael Duff’s first game in charge.
And for a bonus point, who do i dislike more Norris or Taylor?
4min interview with Sam Avery on BBC Sports & BBC sounds
My view, for whatever it’s worth, is I’ve accepted league 1 next year. We gave the league one hell of a head start under Dodds.
Whatever happens over the last 9 games, will be.
I’m proud of my club and next year we will gain the autos, I have no doubt. But for now, as the Beatles sang, let it be.
Fixed that for you.
Never mind. Back on it, put it right next game ….. checks calendar ……… sh!t
I understand Declan Skura plays very well in South Wales.
Alternatively, replace Taylor with Grimmer and play Huggins at right back.
If I was the ginger Baresi’s advocate, I’d spin that as probably having been one of his better games for us.
Difficult to pick out any positives from that one. It had the hallmarks of a Dodds performance, which superficially should not be the case with the amount of time Duff has had to coach the team.
Part of me wonders whether we simply have too soft a squad when Dan Casey is out of the picture. Hopefully Dan Rice will be concetrating on recruiting whichever players in his database have a high “backbone” attribute, because our squad is definitely deficient in this right now.
Have a lot of faith in Duff that next season will be a good one and he’ll get rid of the deadwood and we’ll have a good balanced squad come late August.
Real lack of creativity today. As mentioned by a few posters, Morley became the 2nd coming of Christ when he wasn’t here but actually is just an average league 1 player. Lowe showed exactly why he’s been bombed out by a crap Champ team as he’s powderpuff, and if Taylor was POS for BRFC then god they were worse than I remember last season. 2 new strikers and another CB and I think we’ll be good next season.
Nice to see the main problem has been identified.
Hopefully hes allowed to get the handful of seasoned league 1 pros in that have been there and done it in the summer, alongside the talent we already have.
Would be nice to have a goalkeeper that actually wants to be at the club too.
Hate to say it but we missed Woodrow yesterday , Lowe didn’t have a great game maybe both will play Tuesday together seemed to work well at Bolton . Wouldn’t be surprised that we buy him in the summer.
As fans you can accept losing games but when the players look like they couldn’t care less that’s unacceptable.
I was optimistic we would make the play offs but reality is we’ll probably finish 9th/10th. Taking a step back, with our terrible start and lack of strength in depth that’s not a bad return.
Give Duff a full pre season, get in some more league one quality players and top 6 will be on next year. I suspect another big outgoing of players again this summer.
Morley is in no way just an average league 1 player. He’s more than shown that since he’s been back.
First poor game from Lowe too, but not easy when the whole team is off.
Feels like a lot of people were just waiting to jump on Taylor’s back yesterday and they’ve certainly not hesitated to do so.
He was not even Wycombe’s worst centre half yesterday, let alone player. He also had a better game than Jack Grimmer, who has also been suggested as a replacement
we have improved so much under Duff and need to give him the summer to get his players in however he NEVER takes responsibility for his errors and shortcomings and blames everyone but himself, his tactics 2nd half last week and for the match yesterday were his….and that is the reason we have lost both games
I thought Morley was very good yesterday, probably the 1 player up to standard.
Never really understood all the stick Taylor gets. He’s not as good (yet) as CBs with had in recent seasons and we clearly overpaid for him. But neither has he been anywhere near as disastrous as some claim. Apart from that 1st half against Barnsley which was a shocker, he’s been ok, no more or less than that. I was more concerned with Allen yesterday, who to my eyes seemed to really struggle.
3 counties were saying Luton were concentrating on the left side as they were aware of the weakness around grimmer/ taylor rather then the right side. Unfortunately the normally brilliant Sam Avery was second fiddle
to the Luton commentator as they joined for the day and even Sam joined in with Luton bias. He was particularly scathing of Norris for the first goal something he doesn’t do for wycombe games.
