Expecting a higher defensive line, more direct passing and some clear instructions from the bench, rather than tubby blokes looking at iPads.
Excited! At last!
So excited today. I really do think we will see a new manager bounce. I believe Wycombe were over coached under Dodds and suspect they will play with far more freedom now. Let’s see how good we are.
COME ON YOU BLUES!!
This is as excited I’ve been for a match since our visit to Deepdale.
Win, lose or draw, I’d just like to see the players play with a bit of freedom and enjoyment.
God knows what team will be put out, but I have a really good feeling about Duff.

I have a feeling we will be a standard 4231 this afternoon. It’s generally accepted that 4 at the back is the ‘easiest’ to default to so to speak and with excellent full backs in my opinion with Grimmer and Harvie. Michael Duff has plenty of time to move to his 3 at the back if he so wishes, but ultimately we are near the bottom playing that way so I wouldn’t be surprised to start 4231 today.
Enjoy the game everyone.
We’v given League One enough of a head start, the season starts here.
Went to the Northampton forum where, unusually, a lot of the match talk is about recent divorces that some of the posters have gone through. i suppose supporting Northampton is the second most embarrassing reason for a divorce after non-consummation of the marriage.
Finally excited about going to Adams Park again! I just hope it continues.
All the frustration that has been sent the clubs way, I’m hoping they might just be starting to realise that a good, positive culture can really have a big impact on how everyone feels across the board.
COYB! Good luck Michael.
Was reading that thread too! I guess when you were expecting your opponents to be playing ‘Dodds ball’, winning was going to be a formality and they could focus the thread on more pressing matters.
I don’t see there being many changes today, too late in the week for Duff to come in and stamp his authority on things.
Probably a very similar team to Peterborough, except maybe Boyd Munce added for some more steel in midfield.
We are about to find out if this new bunch of players are as good as many on here seem to think (I’m still on the fence). Hopefully they will play with more character and passion than we have seen rather than the mind numbing possession obsession.
Surprised to see no Huggins and I’d start Abbott but not bad.
Just the 2 changes, but as long as it’s a back 4 I have no issues
another manager starting the cart horse Leahy just because of this experience, he is not good enough and also Anders not in the squad as well as Lowry is criminal….looks like Duff is another Dodds…such uninspiring line up but come on wanderers
Nice to head to a game knowing I shouldn’t hear the terrace shout at each other. Not yet, at least
I’ve got lost with all the players we brought in who is McNeilly?
