Something tells me this game is going to be absolute carnage. And I can’t wait.

Perfect football weather as well.

Please football gods, give us 3 glorious points.

Interested to see our line up today:

  1. do we play the same team as last week?
  2. If not do we keep five at the back or return to a four with Grimmer now fit?
  3. Does Harris come straight in or start on the bench?
  4. Do we keep faith with Woodrow or does Fink get a chance from the off?
  5. Is Henderson fit enough for the bench? Could there even be a chance we might see Scowen on the bench?

Great questions, I’ll give you my answer about 1:50.

Play with the same team and formation.

Harris in for Tilley on the bench.

If Henderson is fit he comes on to the bench instead of Lowry.

Plenty of options to bring on and we are able to change the formation easily without a sub if we need to.

That is what I expect them to do. I do think such a line up is too defensive for a home game though.

Also, I may be reading too much into it, but could Lowry be staying? He was involved in a community project in the week which would suggest a move away is not imminent.

Got to Marylebone and not a single, visible Peterborough fan in sight. Winning.

Do we have any news on Hendo?

Excited about the prospect of seeing what Harris can do, but totally understood if he either only gets a run-out off the bench, or doesn’t get on at all (having had limited training time).

Hope the Community Day is a great success also.

We are very strong with our home form, PUFC sadly equally strong with their away form.

But whatever the result, I hope at least it’s a decent game and fires up the imagination and enthusiasm of any newcomers in the audience.

I Fink you and the rest of us may be left disappointed, but we can only hope

COME ON WYCOMBE!

Assuming no illnesses or training ground injuries in the meantime, Casey, Hagelskjaer and Allen will no doubt line up at the back with Harvie at left wingback and Huggins or Quitirna on the right.

Grimmer is far from fully fit. He bravely came on for 20 minutes at Northampton after, as I understand it, receiving painkilling medication and wearing upper body support strapping/corset.

Traditionally, new signings start on the bench, acclimatising themselves and getting a feel for the team’s approach. Very unlikely I know but wouldn’t it be wonderful if history repeated itself and, instead of Morley and Humphreys coming on and transforming the game in the second half, Morley and Harris did the same thing. M & H 2.0.

In midfield, Mullins and Munce are more or less certain to start and it would be great of course to have Henderson back but I doubt whether his hamstring injury will have healed just yet.

Fred up front centrally again.

That’s eight outfield players accounted for, plus a couple of subs (one based on wishful thinking) but I need two more. Suggestions welcome.

Edit: Whoops! Forgot Forever Luke Leahy. Talk about playing into a certain (unmentionable) Chairboy’s hands !

Tricky game

This will be a very tough one.

Think the same. But will entertain.

105 goals in 31 previous meetings. Big crowd for Community Day. Guaranteed 0-0.
