Grace, Dodds and Duff all apear not to be prepared to give him the run you suggest. Can they ALL be wrong?
I think of Fink the way I used to think of Reece Styche.
See, Iām much more diplomatic than @frequentstander ā¦
Regarding Fink I think he did ok yesterday but obviously could be a lot better where it counts. I feel he will improve with more game time but whether he improves enough remains to be seen. Regardless Iāll support him to the hilt while he plays for us. I donāt personally rate Junior but again Iāll back him while he wears the shirt
My thoughts exactly.
Might make it. Probably wonāt. Only way to find out is with a run of games.
As soon as I saw the lineup I was worried about lack of goal threat with no Fred or Bell, who have been our only real outlets all season. Probably the first time all season we didnāt have anyone who could run in behind the defence, and the first time we played with a target man. Both of those things showed.
Woodrow and Fink both need the ball played into them with movement beyond, but on the few occasions we managed that, both of them and Harris were on top of each other and crowded out. Woodrow otherwise drops so deep leaving Fink isolated up front.
I think the criticism of him is hugely unfair. It was his second league start in his first 6 months of English football as a young striker! He is quite obviously low on confidence at the moment, but every time he plays he seems to create a decent chance for himself. Thatās a pretty good sign there will be a player there in time. Iām sure he would agree with all of us that he should have put one away yesterday but the loss definitely wasnāt on him.
Fair play to Posh for taking their chances on the counter. I donāt think they would argue we were the better team and in my eyes we actually played pretty well. One of those games. The people booing at the end need to give their head a wobble though.
Sam Grace never managed Fink and he was injured for all but opening game of the season under Dodds.
I donāt think they could deny that we were the better team. At least In the sense that we had significantly more possession, twice as many touches in their box as they had in ours and twice as many shots as they had.
Surely Bradley Fink has been with us for a year now (or am I losing my marbles?!) [Re your third paragraph.]
Iāve only just twigged that I need to tap the top of a carried down post to get all of it.
Doh!!
Yea only two goal chances, one being a diving header and the other off the lineā¦..but offered very littleā¦.
I thought it was an excellent debut. Pacey, skilful on the ball and a seemingly instant understanding of where teammates would be at any given time. As I said in an earlier post, I thought he faded significantly in the second half - so much so that I thought heād been subbed - but that is entirely understandable.
Joined in summer of 2025 and injured in opening game away at Bradford.
To not even hit the target is what I found the most astonishing. I want him to succeed and started the game encouraging him and willing him to score but as it went on and chance after chance came about my optimism started to dwindle for him. His anticipation is bad which is the most notable. All the blow and no go unfortunately.
he was OK however donāt think he is a massive upgrade on Mullins ā¦.Wigan on Tuesday, start mullins and Harris as the 10s and drop Woodrowb
Can we ban community days every time we have them we lose , think the fans know this and maybe we all go and expect to see a poor performance and the atmosphere wasnāt great either. In relation to the game I believe Fink is just so desperate for a goal he snatches at shots I also do think the Woodrow chance wasnāt a sitter and I had a good angle on it however I donāt think he should be in the team either . We missed Fred and proves the point we need two quality strikers. The thing I love about Duff is he says it as it no bs but precisely what he sees as the issues and I agree with every post match points he makes. He knows the team isnāt good enough at the moment iām sure he is planning for next season especially if he doesnāt get 2-3 quality players in.
That comes down to match fitness, same as has been said about fink, sub appearances donāt really cut it do they but youāre right he did noticeably tire but thatās because he was everywhere all game, he offered more than some but just needed to adjust. I think heāll come to be a big catalyst and if Fulham arenāt keen, could be here beyond a loan.
Youāre right very similar to Mullins but a bit more stronger. We canāt rely on Mullins at 21 or whatever he is straight out of Brightonās youth team, all season
Great comparisonā¦.I chose bomber Harris and Gavin holligan but Iād take Reece styche, maybe even tjayā¦think Alex Samuel offered more but was a different type of player.
It is the marbles then. Oh dear, how sad, but I thought he was part of the January 2025 European intake.
I sometimes was frustrated with Bell as he would just take a shot rather than lay off.
I was wrong. Bell and Fred would have buried a few of those chances.
Time for an immediate reaction on Tuesday.
We need to have an Anarcho-libertarianism day where people pay whatever they feel like for tickets and food/drinks.
The team can run out to āYouāre Already Deadā by Crass.
And weāll win.
