Match Day Thread: Plymouth 29th Dec 25

Urgh probably a deserved equaliser on the balance of play but thought we’d done enough to scrape through. That goal changes the mood a lot! Couldn’t have been much worse than Boxing Day but credit to the men in yellow for showing some character and digging in. Unfortunately, the enforced changes really hurt us.

2025 has been pretty turgid all told, roll on 2026…and erm, more of the same?!

Never great when your goalkeeper falls over his own feet on the vital final corner. Impossible to tell from the TV angle if the ball had crossed the line. Really not much better than Doddsball at the moment. The Duff honeymoon is long over - he’s sleeping in the spare room after that.

It was the slightest of contacts. If that’s enough to put him down then that alone should rule him out of playing.

He then sat on his arse making no effort to get back up

It was appalling

yes, looked like CBM to me. Not Norris’ fault.

It’s such a pony league this season that we can’t quite rule ourselves out of the top 6 race, however appallingly we let points slip.

We can all relax and stop stressing when we’re actually out of the race.

He bumps into one of our players but the contact is minimal. No idea how or why he goes to ground. Awful goalkeeping, after such a good performance up to that point from him.

Dodds Would not have been so negative, he was at fault , he is an utter disgrace

We battled, its hard to complain. Plymouth are bottom 3 but not in bad form. We deserved the win.

Herein lies the point though - the second that Henderson is out (much more important than Mullins imo) we’re stuffed. No one who can keep possession or pick a pass, and we don’t have a centre forward good or strong enough to hold onto the ball.

All we could do in that second half was block and tackle (which we did admirably) but when the ball is just coming back at you every time, it’s only a matter of time until a goal is going in. Lots of January business needed, in and out.

Norris bumps into Boyd-Munce and goes down hoping the ref will give a cheap free kick.

Whilst their keeper smashed his own player into the ball whilst staying on his feet.

So, so weak.

Or he was trying to buy a foul, not realising he’d run into the incredibly tough CBM.

Looked like it did to me

He bumped into Anders, didn’t see him and flung himself to the floor for a free-kick. Shame really as he’d been good up to that point.

Sadly I think the injuries suffered are of more concern than the two points dropped tonight.

Sickener at the end, but that was a gutsy performance and a good reaction to the shambles on Boxing Day.

Casey was absolutely superb. Not convinced that was over the line at the end, but I guess the Lino would’ve had the best view. Impossible to tell on tv.

Commentator keeps saying “you can see there it’s over the line”, but you can’t really from that angle.

I’m guessing it was, because of how far over the goal-line Casey is, but you can’t actually conclusively tell from that angle.

Why did Dan Casey celebrate immediately then? He knew.

Potentially. We could still have a midfield three of Leahy, Abbott and Morley on Sunday though with Boyd-Munce and Scowen on the bench!
