Match Day Thread: Plymouth 29th Dec 25

Is this bloke an actual referee ? overweight looks too old and doesn’t seem to know how to properly officiate - seems to like dishing cards for fuck all - a Red is definitely coming one way or another tonight - absolute Clown !

Leahy does his best, but we really need an ‘enforcer’ out there.

Direct football FTW. Not pretty but has kept Plymouth at bay. Hopefully the injuries are only minor. A feisty second half could be in store.

I hear your passion,…. sub standard or below par, but please tread carefully before marching into the proverbial!

They cannot honestly think we’ve subbed two midfielders before halftime as gamesmanship ship. I thought Plymouth were crap when we lost and they look pretty awful tonight. Hope we’ll end the match with 11 uninjured players for the Cardiff game!

When eric is criticising the ref, you know things are bad! Second half will be worrying I think.

Hopefully Henderson isn’t out for long. He’s our best player and one we can ill afford to be with out.

Abbott can’t be fully fit yet, as would have thought he would have come on for one of Henderson or Mullins.

We’ve played really well so far and Woodrow has made a huge difference up front.

2nd half worries me with a lack of creativity but at least we are one up. Could be backs to the wall so hoping we grab a second in the break.

Morley in Bolton sqaud today ……hopefully we are still in for him as Leahy cannot do the 6 to a high standard

Good to see Norris stepping up and getting involved

100%

That should have been a 20 man melée

Imagine what Terry Evans and Jason Cousins would have done if an injured Dave Carroll had been roughed up on the floor?

Would have ended in an FA inquiry, and rightly so

Losing Mullins and Henderson in a single half is a bit of a disaster. They’re our two best technicians in the middle.

Yeah, he needed that. Although, like Boxing Day, he gave up far too soon

I imagine Josh paces up and down his living room floor in these types of games.

It’s possible that we weren’t ever in for him in the first place. People just jumped to conclusions.

Absolutely sam Bell is a great winger but he does not have the physical presence for a striker but his Dad is Duffs mate so there you go

Never seen this ref before and never want to see him again.

This is a fan base that jeered our keeper absolutely wrecked on the ground once and was stretchered off

I usually try and defend referees, but those bookings for Hendo and Duff were a disgrace. Their lad got injured, went down, got treatment, took an age hobbling off, all fine. Hendo goes down injured is denied treatment, told to walk off, dragged to his feet twice by Plymouth players, hobbles off to be subbed and gets booked for time wasting. Really poor from the ref and no excuse.

I had to watch it again and Hendo went down, got up and seemed to be being pointed to the sidelines, but instead went down again. Was prized up by 2 Plymouth goons, then wandered off.

Not sure why he went down the second time?
