Is it me or are Wycombe making heavy weather of this

We could fill our boots here, but we just aren’t clinical enough.

Port Vale must be the worst side I’ve seen for a long time. We need to be far more clinical.

Is the terrace taking the piss out of Norris helpful?

Weve played really well, slightly overdoing it in the final third, but theres intent and energy as Duff was pushing for.

Lowe huffed and puffed. Fred and Taylor very good, but Huggins the stand out so far. Looks calm, composed and quick on the flank

Port Vale are dreadful. This should be 3-0 already.

Yes, we’re not more goals up against a team fighting to survive…but we look solid.

What’s happening?

I think the commentator said ‘Wycombe haven’t needed to step out of second gear’ which is true but as Duff has said time and time again in post match interviews he wants to see fast pace through the transitions so he’ll probably be a little frustrated we’ve been a little pedestrian this half.

But at least we have a goal. Port Vale away was awful trying to find that elusive goal.

To be fair to PV they’ve only conceded 10 goals in their last 11 matches across all competitions.

So a goal fest is still unlikely.

I was going to say that we seem reluctant to shoot but we’ve had plenty of shots. They’ve mostly been pretty wayward.

Generally a good 1st half, but as others have said we absolutely need to be more clinical. Pleased to be 1 up but really thisshould be in the bag already. Need that 2nd goal to prevent any late nerves

Oh…He’s made a save…

Then later

oh…He’s stopped a shot…

I may be missing the point of the ‘bantz’?

Wycombe are letting Port Vale back into this with their general dozy play.
