We used to call it a blustery day.
Real blow with Huggins and Boyd-Munce injured.
But that’s the team I’d pick with the players available.
I dont think Harris is as good a wide player as Vidigal, especially in a game we really need to win.
Im still unsure in how Morley and Hendo will play together, but its only option with CBM injured.
Duff is too negative , we need to win this game and he starts Harris ffs
Chairboys80 is too negative, we need to get behind the team ffs
You’re about as negative as they come comrade.
Duff has named four forwards in his starting eleven.
Its a shame that Huggins’ career has been spoiled by injury. No club will take him on when he’s playing 1 game & then missing 3
I like that team; Jack back to his best position and Allen back to redeem himself after Orient.
Bench will terrorise Stockport if they start running out of steam.
Very positive. Looking forward to Harris linking up with Woodrow.
Shame for Huggins. Seem to remember a Sunderland fan saying the problem would be keeping him fit.
I will be positive , I have got off a 10 hour flight and got the train straight to Stocport …really hoping for a positive performance!!
There are times we are a joy to watch, the quick passing, control and movement. Do that and we’ll be hard to live with. But we’re also prone to moments of madness, try to see games out and stop playing. So please please no early goal conceded, no daft errors, no negative subs and If we get ahead, keep playing football and make THEM worry about us.
COYB
I also think that our starting eleven has been made with the end of the game in mind. Quitirna, Vidigal and Onyedinma is not a bad way to finish.
Great side and exactly what I’d have named given the injuries.
I would like to propose an amendment to right honourable gentleman’s statement.
Will it be beers with tears or beers with cheers.
A beverage or two will be in order either way.
My feeling from watching Duffs interview was he appeared nervous, rather than the usual bullish straight talk. Maybe it was coyness trying to cover his gameplan. I like your interpretation better.
From the games I watched this season, it looks to me that we try to get to the byline and are moderately successful with it. Whilst our opponents are less successful in reaching those areas. It is a threatening part of the field. Which gives me two questions.
- Do we attempt it/achieve it more than most?
- Are we better at defending it than others?
For context I’ve only been watching this season since the Reading game.
The weather is appalling in Stockport
Normal for GM
