I can only admire from afar the dedication and fortitude of those hardy souls spending 12+ hours on the round trip to the north, braving the perils of the roadworks and traffic jams on the M6.
I’ll be at home shouting at the TV, beer in one hand, fag in the other, and as soon as it’s over planning the order for the Indian takeaway to eat with the missus while watching Strictly.

Oh geeze… Ground humping egg chasing. I had a holiday fling with a girl from Wigan and that is literally all she talked about. Which could potentially reflect more about me than her to be honest

I prefer the ground humping version of egg chasing but that’s not saying much. Good point on the Grand Final though, didn’t factor that in to my attendance prediction.
As for the game, it’d be good to see a full 90 minutes of pure and clean DuffBall, with no costly individual errors or need for a 30min reshuffle at 0-2 down.
Well I haven’t seen a single Wigan football top in the Spoons - everyone is wearing the rugby league tops.

Is the match really on Sky ? I thought 3pm Saturday matches were barred. If the camera work and commentary are as dire as last Tuesday, I think I’ll give it a miss.

You could easily watch both, leave Wigan at 5, get to OT at 5.45 for 6 KO.
