Keynsham were founded in 1993 as Super Strikers Girls by pupils of Chandag Junior School, as an U-11 six-a-side team. They linked up with men’s club Keynsham Town in 1998 when they took their current name.
After being relegated from the Southern Premier in 2022, they have finished 9th, 7th, 6th and 9th in this division. Last season they scored 30 goals in their 22 games, conceding 57. Their home league gates were around 50, the highest being 80 against Bristol Rovers. Georgia Galley top scored in the league with 5 goals. In the FA Cup they reached the Second Round, losing 2-1 at tier 5 side Dartford. They lost all three of their League Cup group games.
Last Sunday Keynsham lost 2-1 at Bournemouth Sports, those two sides being the bottom two above relegation last year. All the goals came in the first half with Bournemouth opening the scoring. Nine of the starters for Keynsham were retained players, their scorer was Sachi Kaneko-Grun, one of the new players. Playing for Gloucester City in the South West Region Premier last season, same division as Torquay, she was the league’s top scorer with 21 from 15 games.
The AJN Stadium has a 3G pitch and a capacity of 3,000.

Today’s lineup. Beaver in for Harvey at left back, or maybe Kettle switching there, and Harney in for Dolder at central striker.
There will be no in-game updates from the Chairgirls today, and that’s not something Keynsham do, so I will be concentrating hard on the live stream. Hopefully it’s not too hot for Veo today, max 23° in Keynsham.

Nearly scored in opening seconds, Makowska nearly on the end of a far post cross, then Watkins nearly converted a Makowska cross from the right.

Their keeper is having to work hard, number of saves now.
20’ last man challenge on Makowska, only a yellow, could have been red.
Ref bottled that one, surely last player (interestingly the calls from the rest of the team were last player, not last man, whereas they do say “man on”)
