Since Badshot were promoted to the Premier Division in 2023, it’s been a struggle. They finished bottom in 2023-24 with six points, second from bottom last season with three points and no wins. Due to low numbers in the division, they escaped relegation both times. They don’t always lose heavily, they only lost 1-0 to Ascot United at the end of last season. Their sole win this season, 3-1 at Sholing in November, was their first league win since February 2024. Last week Woodley won a game to push the Baggies into bottom spot on goal difference, both are now on four points and five points from the next team. One team will be relegated, for sure this time.
The Chairgirls’ record against them is four wins out of four, with a 19-0 goal record. Last season, Lynch, Potter, Watkins, Kassem and Wardlaw were on target in the 5-0 home win, and Potter (4), Watkins and Monaghan in the 6-0 away win.
Their match last week at Southampton Women was postponed, their two results in January were defeats, 1-0 at Fleet, 10-1 at Portchester. They had a good 5-0 win in the FA Cup against Basingstoke Town, before losing 4-2 at Maidstone United in the next round. In the League Cup they lost 4-0 at home to Portchester.

Starting to apply pressure, Potter (?) free kick hits the post and Hill skies a shot.
No goals after 20 mins, Badshot will be pleased, putting up stiff resistance and their keeper not tested yet.

Not a bad game so far, Badshot have been ok, but we have created more & been much more clinical in front of goal

Baggies keeper pushes a Watkins cross onto post and holds the rebound.
Watkins shot bounces off post into keeper’s arms, who is injured in the follow up. Edit - another through ball from Hennessy.
Not able to watch or be there today, so glad of the updates. Looks like a good first half.

HT WW 2-0 BL, we are in firm control, Baggies had three sorties into our half but they are better than I thought, playing with commitment and getting enough tackles and blocks in to keep the score down.

Picture has taken a turn for the worse, but I just made out Axe diving at the feet of a Badshot player to save a shot, their first chance.
