After losing 7-1 and 9-1 to the Chairgirls in the league this season, being drawn away to the them in the league cup was probably the worst possible draw for the Rams, and of course they also withdrew from the Combined Counties Cup after being drawn away to us earlier this season. In that 9-1 defeat in December, the Rams were only a goal behind in the 53rd minute but then collapsed totally in the face of clinical finishing. Watkins (3), Potter, Beaver, Hennessy, Schofield, Hoesli-Atkins and Melton were the scorers.

Since that last meeting, the Rams have done pretty well and are clearly improving. In the league, wins against Sholing (5-3 ) and Woodley (4-1) were followed by a 4-1 defeat at Reading and then, perhaps the best result, a 2-2 home draw last week against high flying Winchester City Flyers, who equalised late into the second half.

No. 9 Henna Hussain is top scorer with nine, seven of those in the league. Ex-Chairgirls have been on the scoresheet recently, Mia Parkin, Alix Todd, Molly Carter and Ruby Harris. Other former players featuring regularly are Poppy Lloyd, Katie Riddington, Sophie Cheadle, Ashleigh Harte and Bonnie Messitt. Sarah Davern has left the Rams and joined Slough Town.

8’, Hussain shot just past the post for the Rams.

Lots of space in behind for Jess and Kayla, just haven’t got the timing quite right yet.

Beaconsfield keeper down in some pain.

Keeper Cheadle replaced.

27’, WW 1-0 B, Watkins chip from the corner after the stoppage.

I watched for a few minutes, together with 13 others, but nothing seemed to be happening. I wondered if there had been a medical emergency in the crowd but, in the absence of any commentary and the ball being barely visible on my iPhone, I have reluctantly opted out. That is certainly not to decry the great efforts of those who have set this up.

Long delay due to injury to Rams keeper, who has been replaced and is on crutches.

Yes, I have switched here from a link on another thread where I was obviously unaware of what had happened.

39’, Riddington free kick just over the bar after we were needlessly caught in possession just outside the area.

44’, Hussain shot from distance into Redbourne’s arms.

45+1’, 2-0, Melton tap-in at far post from Potter cross.

Bench moaning vociferously that was offside.

HT WW 2-0 B. Bit of a scrappy half, not fully in our stride yet. Rams have had 3/4 chances without really testing Redbourne and very unfortunate to lose their keeper in a challenge with Kayla, no foul given, the ball was cleared for a corner from which we scored.

During the injury break, Wardlaw came on for Carolan but more as a right wing back pushing up, with Watkins LWB and Potter and Melton up front.

Last time it was 2-0 at HT. Ref booked one of the Rams coaches coming off at HT, they are not happy.

Edit - Ash Harte is the replacement keeper for the Rams.

Number 3 playing her on as far as I can tell watching it back. That’s what they’re moaning about, saying she was several yards off but doesn’t look like it to me.

51’, 3-0, Melton (?) with a clever header over the keeper.

Hennessy and Kimble replaced Hill and Mulvaney at HT.
