Since then the Flyers have had two home league wins, 3-0 against Oxford City and 12-1 against Woodley United. The latter saw top scorer Chelsie Hay bag seven goals, she also scored a hat-trick in a 4-2 county cup game against Farnborough on Thursday. In all games she now has 31 goals from 17, and 20 from 10 in the league. To reach this stage the Flyers have beaten Denham United 3-2, Farnborough 2-1 and Abingdon United Devs 5-2. In the other League Cup semi-final today, Reading host AFC Portchester.
This match is an opportunity for the Chairgirls to reach their first cup final since the 2019-20 season, when they were due to meet Abingdon Town in the Chairman’s Cup Final. The match was never played due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
