So DATA DAN was fifty percent right. The Luton chairman has said that they chose Jack Wilshire a coach that has had no previous experience as a manager because out of the last five coaches that have been employed in league one with no previous managerial experience,the DATA shows that four have taken their club to promotion in their first season. It’s just that Dan chose the wrong coach.

Danny boy is not the only man to rely on DATA in modern football.
It is very common despite easily getting the impression on the here that it is a flawed model unique to him.

Surely every signing uses data. You sign the players who - score the most goals - make the most tackles - keep the most clean sheets etc etc.

Matt got sacked on October 6th after leading Luton to a terrible 16 points from 11 games with an average of 1.45 points per game
Should Luton lose at Reading, currently 2-1 down with 15 to play then Wilshere will have managed 13 points from 10 games with an average of 1.3 points per game.
Goal! 1.4 points per game
