As we wave goodbye to Mike we wish him well in his search for that new manager bounce.
I am the gum man, i have no b plan
I am the doddsy, goo-goo gâjoob
Mike Dodds was not a good fit, but there is no need for all this.
Mike Dodds is gone. Can we move on too?
Thereâs really no need for all this âmove onâ business.
If you want to move on from discussing Mike Dodds, donât click on threads with the words Mike Dodds in the title.
If we move on too cleanly we might forget about him and reappoint him by mistake.
Itâs not just threads with his name in the title though. Everything that is possible to blame on Dodds has been, repeatedly. Why constantly retread the same old, sometimes tenuous, points when we have a new manager and a new more positive outlook to enjoy? I swear some on here get more of a buzz out of negativity, and when things are going badly.
We might reappoint him by mistake? Good grief, thatâs a ridiculous argument.
My last line was a joke of course. I do agree with you in part, but you canât really complain about Mike Dodds content on a Mike Dodds thread.
Talking about trauma can be therapy for some.
Anyway, look away soon when James discovers âBudmeadowâ has received the dreaded vote of confidence from Luton. Youâll be treated to the 86th rehash of his âon the waneâ diatribe for sure!
Oh God, donât mention Bloomfield againâŚ..
Iâve made an edit.
Still seething about how Alan Gane was treatedâŚ. ![]()
Jim Kelman needed more time.
Reluctant as I am to post on this thread, there is one aspect (possibly two) of Mike Doddsâ background that I think has been insufficiently taken into account and for which this thread is probably the most appropriate home.
He has never, as far as I know, been a footballer himself certainly not a professional footballer. That would surely make experienced professional players slightly sceptical about his ability to put himself in their shoes
.[not that emoji you idiot.]
The other aspect about which I would welcome clarification is whether or not he was a driver. I vaguely recall reading somewhere that he didnât drive. That would surely have made life difficult unless he moved to the Wycombe area.
Explains why he was LITERALLY parachuted into the job.
Well he certainly drove a lot of Wycombe Wanderers supporters mad.

Bloody Met Police.
He rode his horse to training and on match days, hence his love of beige jodphurs. He always look super relaxed on his stallion as he trotted from Bennettâs End to West Wycombe. Never bothered moving onto a canter as he trusted the process with a slow trot.
Youâre on a right bloody tickbox windup today.
Dodds out stuff, Bloomfield, James.
Youâll be starting an âin hindsight i think Alan Smith was a good underrated manager at Wycombeâ thread next ![]()
Can you please tell me how I can add videos or posts from another website. When I try it seems to point me to starting a new post rather than adding it to an existing subject.
