New kit 25/26

Kits used to get released early, anyone have any insight as to why they don’t anymore?

When is the new kit out? With the offer on the table from the club, it would surely be an idea to get them out there early.

Also, to applaud the club on the clubshop sale - there was nothing left when I went in recently. A contrast to the O Neills kits that we were selling at full price the season after. Managed to pick myself up a lovely hoodie for £25 and a kids kit for £40. I wonder how many people did that?

Was searching this very topic yesterday. Nothing online. The most prominent kit website reckons July.

Given kids now get a new shirt with their ST in that excellent £25 offer I suppose sooner rather than later.

Chesham United has launched there new kits already, with Alex Horne (Tv comedian/personality/club director)having pictures of him wearing them around the town. Their club sponsor seem to be his tv show too.

As for why it’s “so late” the play offs for this season haven’t even been concluded for us yet so I’m not exactly surprised it’s pushed back as I’m sure most in the club are enjoying, or very shortly will be enjoying a well earned holiday.

Plus, other more boring reasons, like all contracts end dated around the same times in June/july

Do we think our lead sponsor will be changing to perhaps something linked to ML?

If not this year, I am anticipating it in some capacity at some point.

My only hope is we don’t follow many other teams and have a Betting company as a main sponsor.

With the kids kits free with a season ticket, it would leave a sour taste (at least in my mouth) to potentially have a load of kids as mobile advertising boards for an 18+ activity which has become rather pervasive and/or invasive in the footballing world.

Because I’m expecting Kaspi to be a sponsor at some point given he’s Chairman of that firm and also our owner.

It will, of course, depend on whether he has something in the UK market he wants to expand but it could also be, albeit with rules tightened since Man City allegedly (?) flooding themselves with owner money to bypass FFP, be a way of increasing club income and to offset any new financial rules coming into play.

Although, if he can use someone else’s money to do that rather than his own, that would also be a good option

Looks like they are trying to float either on the LSE or NASDAQ

I don’t get the benefit. If it’s to promote Kaspi he should sponsor a higher profile club. If it’s to put money into the club he can do that anyway without being a sponsor.

I’m getting a sinking feeling about all this!

I think this used to be banned on kids shirts - don’t know if that’s still a thing? I know when Forest were sponsored by Victor Chandler, the kids shirts were blank.

U18s have to wear a blank shirt if they play for the first team and they’re sponsored by gambling, alcohol etc.

PL is banning gambling sponsorship on the front of shirts (everywhere else is still fine ) from 26/27. Can’t exactly see even a token gesture like that in the EFL while it’s sponsored by SkyBet.

Teams with betting companies on their shirts remove or replace them on children’s kits already.

Premier League clubs have agreed to remove them completely in a couple of seasons time. Some credit where it is due, as they took this decision rather than it being forced upon them. I expect the EFL will follow soon (hopefully).

Good point. Can’t help but feel that decision would have probably been made already if it wasn’t for that.

Did they “make” that decision or realised that the government would get involved once they appoint a Football Regulator?

On another note - this fantastic gesture by the club needs to be advertised more. I’ve told a local Brentford fan, and QPR fan (with kids) about our incentive and they are seriously considering taking their kids to watch Wycombe. They are from Wycombe and they were astounded by it, and knew nothing about it. Get it into the schools and local clubs! Spread the word.

I wonder if this kit will be a 2 year one. If we don’t offer the same incentive next year, there will be uproar!
