Nostalgia aint what it used to be
Two things from watching this back -
1 - The lob is maddeingly perfect. It seems to defy physics in the way it sucks back to earth just as it crests the keepers gloves
2 - When you watch the full highlights, my word we had it good didn’t we

Surely you mean this season.
I’m very late to this thread and have only just seen your comment. I see it was 17 days ago!! I suppose I should have read the posts since your comment but I couldn’t be arsed.
Over the moon you must now be. And Michael Duff has only just started.
It was last season. Orient had 8 points from the first 11 games but went on a superb run to finish 6th. Over those final 35 games they averaged two points per game.
We are having a superb run under Duff, long may it continue.
Apologies @wwfcblue. A classic example of the danger of skim reading. I read @TheHypnogogue’s response to your post and assumed from the matches he listed that the comparison was between the respective fixtures for both clubs this season. I have since “fallen in” (kerplonk) and realise that your point is that our season may well be following a similar pattern to Orient’s last season. Let’s hope so and that in our case the story has a happier ending!

Quite a change that only 3 of the starting 11 on that day are still at the club.
At a similar point in the season last year some teams had played 2/3 games more than others, as this season.
Cardiff would only be 5th on 29 points
The league this season has a top to bottom points difference (15) that is half last season (30) (and the previous 3 seasons too - 29, 29 & 27). It’s soo compressed!
If anyone gets on a good form run they’ve an excellent chance at the autos.
We’re still on form target to hit 87 points. Across the previous 5 seasons that would have seen us typically 3rd or 4th. This season (on current forms and data) it would see us top by 2 points. It’s crazy.
Prediction models show top will finish on between 66-85 points. I think it’ll be towards the top end.
Let’s settle for nothing short of automatic this season. Has to be a faint glimmer of hope still that I could achieve my last bucket list wish of seeing Wycombe playing in front of capacity/near capacity crowds.
Duff is taking us up this season and is worth every penny of his 400 Lyle and Scott sweaters bonus
Thanks. I keep hearing/reading that Division 3 this year is terrible. I’m still to be persuaded by that. There’s not the stand-out champions we had last year, or the generally dire bottom-placed team, but to me it has just felt a great deal more even than in previous years. And your analysis seems to bear that out.
