A point apiece for Portsmouth and Oxford, which does neither of them much good.

Probably better for Oxford, but they should have made the most of Pompey being down to 10 men for 80 minutes.

Had Portsmouth beaten them, Oxford would be really hard to see them staying up.

Not just ex Pompey keepers making mistakes.

Southampton go 2 up away to Wrexham.

Yeah!

Wind Arse has pulled one back !

I have nothing against Wrexham, per se, just the thousands who have jumped on the band wagon since Hollywood owners turned up - many of whom would struggle to point out where Wrexham is on a map.

Whilst there’s probably only a few hardcore with Mickey Thomas and Dennis Lawrence tattoos, I don’t begrudge Wrecsam a few bandwagoners. WWFC would be the same.

They may have lost a few bandwagoners after that thumping they got last night

Has to be said that the new Southampton manager - inheriting a pretty dire team from Russel Martin has done a remarkable job turning them around.

Didn’t Eckhert take over from Will Still? Agreed, though, he’s done a great job.

Not sure they had a dire team. The new manager has implemented positive attacking football to get the best out of the squad. The players were probably not suited to Dodds type tactics as were another team!!

Blimey you are right. They actually had two permanent managers between Martin and the current one. Poor effort from me.

I’ve just checked when the football season starts next season and we have to wait a week as the Carabao Cup is the ‘first’ game of the season.

11th June - FIFA World Cup Group stage begins

19th July - FIFA World Cup Final

7-9th August - Carabao Cup

14-16th August - EFL Championship, League 1 and 2

I’d have jumped in the sea by now if I was a Brechin fan.

Extended Christmas this summer.

Hopefully we have some decent friendlies too.

I wonder if the World Cup will mean fewer teams going abroad for pre-season tours. That would improve the quality of our own pre-season.

Arsenal are going to blow it again, aren’t they?

Exeter took a late lead at Home Park, missed a sitter to go 3-1 up seconds later and now Plymouth have equalized.

Jay Wareham has 19 goals this season, I’d like to think he’s the sort of player we’d be looking at in the summer.
