I’m hoping the opposite, because we found out about Anders very quickly.
I guess we’ll have a update in the Luton preview.
We found out about Anders in the preview to the next game. Guess we will see the same regarding Casey tomorrow.
For some reason I thought we knew much earlier.
Probably as there were only three days between games.
Ooops!…
Wow - expensive mistake that.
And then he’ll be sorting out @DevC ‘s bathroom…
Not sure whether this didn’t happen, or absolutely didn’t happen
all-time great…
from the daily telegraph …
A JAPANESE tourist who wanted to catch a flight to Turkey was put
on a train to Torquay after asking for directions at Paddington.
Kumiko Tsuchida, who was on her first visit to Britain, arrived in Devon
at midnight, convinced that she had been through the Channel Tunnel
and was in Istanbul.
She was found wandering at 2am by police who instigated an operation
involving social services, a home for the elderly, a travel agent and the
Japanese embassy.
Mrs Tsuchida, 40, who teaches Japanese at Istanbul university but has
only a limited grasp of English, eventually caught a flight to Turkey
yesterday morning.
Things started to go wrong on Monday when she left the house of a
friend in London to catch a train to Heathrow. At Paddington she
inquired about the best way to travel.
Speaking through an interpreter, Mrs Tsuchida said: “I told the staff at
Paddington that I wanted to go to Turkey. I kept saying ‘Turkey,
Turkey’. But because of my pronounciation they put me on a train to
Torquay. I thought it was a long way to the airport but when I asked
people ‘Turkey? Turkey?’ they told me I was on the right train.”
“She told officers that she had been on the train so long, she genuinely
believed she was in Turkey already,” said a spokesman for Devon and
Cornwall police.
We could get a shtload more full backs in while we’re at it.
It’s time for Taylor to play. If he’s up to it he can be a part of next season. If he’s not we need to post him back to Rovers and put him in the Andy Thomson folder of “do not buy centre backs from rovers ever again” reminder pile.
Matt Bloomfield and Mike Dodds embracing each other after their sides 1-0 victory . Such a strange sight.
Blooms and Doddsy might pull it off. How many goals have the PNL conceded since they took charge? Can’t be many, unless I’m completely mistaken.
A marriage made in heaven?
13 in 12 league matches. Not awful at all for relagation threatened side!
Classic Dodds issue in scoring though, only 10 in those 12.
I still think the PNLs will go down, but i can’t decide if it will be more fun because they’ve made a go of it.
It feels very similar to 2 years ago with Luton.
Initial slow impact - look odds on for relegation
Sudden vast improvement - look to have a good chance of staying up
Still go down.
Looking back at Luton 2 years ago, they actually won games 43,44 and 45 and still went down by losing game 46!
Certainly looks an exciting finish with about 5 teams in the mixer.
What I was thinking though - was could you imagine telling an Oxford fan that they’d be 44 points clear of bottom with 9 games to go!! They’d have thought they’d be having an amazing season!
I’ve been in bed for the last week with a nasty infection, so I feel extra tetchy, but here goes…
I have a close mate who’s an oxford fan.. he messaged the other night “real classy gesture by Bloomfield to dedicate the win the young girl who died”….. ok obviously dreadfully awful news for the poor girl and im a massive Bloomfield fan, this reflects more on my mate i believe… football fans and players have this really weak set of morals, respect and a limited sentence bank that they all seem to follow. Of course Bloomfield should dedicate the win to the girl, it doesn’t then need to be brought up by thick fans as “Really classy” its the bare minimum…
Secondly I was scrolling through instagram watching cat videos trying to cheer myself up when I came across a black/white picture of a Blackburn player Sondre Tronstad with the caption “words cant describe the news I’ve received” something along them lines anyway. Numerous footballers responding with the “you’ll beat this” and “one day at a time” among other dreadfully weak messages.
I had to Google him because I thought he’ been diagnosed with a deadly disease!! Nope, just injured, thats it he’s injured!!!
They really are so disconnected from the reality of the general population
Rant over
Dedicating a win to a tragically departed girl doesn’t seem standard fare does it?
Standard fare would be a club just putting a sad message out. Seems to me like Bloomy has gone a step beyond there.
Considering she played for there youth team, I’d say it’s the bare minimum.
