arguable Dodds signings most impressive

Far too early to know, which renders the comparison pointless. You’d hope at least some of them come good surely.

On paper - yes. But we all know that this doesn’t necessarily make a good team.

It even happens in family life, on paper, my wife and I were a great team. We made two new signings (our two sons) - and now we are fucked!

Our goal keeping recruitment and selections over the last few seasons seems to have been a mixture of an absolute shambles, mixed in with some terrible luck. I was a fan of Max but a combination of the goal at Barnsley, a red card and question marks over his distribution led to him losing his place. In came Rav for the second half of the season. We finally got Nathan Bishop in, but he breaks his ankle after 2 games, so Rav regains his spot, again doing a pretty good job. Shamal is signed as cover, but never really gets a look in and gets injured. With the team flying high, it is decided that we need a new keeper in Norris, who never convinces. This season we sign a new keeper in Van Sas to replace Norris, but he makes key errors in 2 of his first 3 games. I think this chronology is correct, but so much has been going on. We now need to give Van Sas some time to establish himself so that we can actually get some stability in a key position.
