Mate, the pizza cup aka EFL Trophy was created for clubs exactly like ours.
A chance to go to Wembley and make new fans of the club.
Whilst I do expect us to be a mid-table, sustainable Championship club in a few years, we have to remember where we come from.

May I ask what you mean by sustainable? If you mean a Championship club genuinely earning as much in revenue as it spends in cost, I have to say I don’t think there is a cat in hells chance of that happening. A Championship club with a massive annual subsidy from Lomtadze very possible.

Don’t know. Don’t follow the Championship.
The word ‘sustainable’ does a lot of heavy lifting. The term ‘sustained period in the Championship’ might be more apt in terms of our ambition.

Or indeed, a couple of Hollywood A-listers bankrolling a vanity project …

You could never accuse the Couhigs of being frivolous with their spending.
